@m2ruder's Coating & PPF follow-up

Ok time for a follow up.

m2ruder now has 3600 miles, the coating & PPF was done and I picked it up on Dec 4th. In that time it has only been washed twice and had no additional chemical application of any type. Here is how it looks after a quickie basic 2 bucket wash and wipe dry. No detail spray, buff or anything. I am far from a "Obsessed Garage" kind of guy. Shit I usually don't even wipe out the door jams.

Original pick up and detailed write up can be found here:
http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1447238

So after 3500 miles, 4 months use, a few mods and a quickie wash........

I cannot say enough about a couple things.

1. Nick parks, Parks detailing. That man has the patience of mule, detail of a brain surgeon and treats your car better than you ever can. I helped him put some of the external mods on when he did the prep and he has the hands of a artist and knows all the tricks.

2. Gyeon MOHs+ coating, wow....

3. Suntek PPF, it is already taking a beating in some places but still looks almost invisible.

4. The weakest part of my car care other than getting off my ass and doing it is the drying....I hate it and can't ever do it right. Till now. Gyeon has this towel called "Silk Dryer".... man this thing is the bomb.

Just wanted to do a follow up and give kudos where they are deserved, display an example of a local detailers beautiful work and the results of great products.

If anyone wants to have Nick protect your car the way he did mine you can contact him directly or DM me and i can help you get in touch.

I will just leave these here.....

Amazing looking car! Was the car prepped with Mohs coating before Suntek ppf? I just had my car wrapped with Xpel but didn't know you could have it prepped with anything before ppf.

Also what kind of suspension do you have for lowering? Your car has one of the most perfect stances I've seen!

Hey Kev,
They coat after the PPF is put on then coat the PPF as if it was the paint. That is industry standard. No reason to coat underneath and is ensures better adhesion.

The car is on H&R springs, stock wheels with 10mm spacers up front and 7.5mm spacers in back to insure the wheel lip is not poking

I've been torn deciding between MPC vs H&R. I'm more interested in the cosmetics but also like to get rid of some of the body roll and perhaps slightly stiffen the ride. Would you say with the springs alone you've noticed a huge
improvement in body roll?

I only have 1 hard drive on the springs and it is hard to make a comment since I have been on the H&R's longer than the stock springs so I can't really remember. I would think based on the increased spring rate of the H&R's it should have a small effect on body roll but the M2 had less roll to start with. What you have with the MPC is the ability to increase compression to fight body roll at the expense of compliancy. The best way is to have separate hi/lo speed adjustment. Springs are way cheaper then coil overs

Tyre's look in a very good state.Get on the loud pedal man !
Everything else looking amazing too. ppf + layer of ceramic/nano coatings is the best way to keep your car looking better than new !
