Does anyone know why, at this stage, an M2 price list can be produced and published in Germany and Europe but not in the US?
After all, there appears to be lots more M2's running around loose in New Jersey, Georgia, San Francisco, etc., than are running around in all of Europe. And, it's not like Europe is going to get them any sooner than the US - at least if you believe Scott26.
Just curious.

It's a BMWNA decision most likely. I think they decide when the US info gets released.

Very possible. Care to guess why you think they'd do that?
I suspect there is a money angle to it, somewhere. Perhaps a fear that releasing the price of the car would collapse the sale of another closely competing BMW line. Like the sales of the 435i series coupes.

I read on BP that the X4 M40i will get its US launch at the LA Auto show next month, so the M2 will need to wait until after that. My guess would be in Detroit at NAIAS in January.

BMWNA would probably want to keep a month or two minimum between brand new M Performance and M car rollouts, so they can focus their marketing on one at a time.

I have to say that these section headings sound much more dramatic in German than in English.

FAHRZEUGPREIS --> Vehicle Price
SERIENAUSSTATTUNGEN --> Standard Equipment
SONDERAUSSTATTUNGEN --> Optional Equipment
GEWÄHRLEISTUNGSVERLÄNGERUNGS-PAKETE --> Warranty Extension Packages

(via Google Translate)

I don't see anything mentioned about it in the German brochure, but I only took a cursory glance and my German isn't great...

No. It says "M-specific suspension" there, which means it is passive, so the availability of Adaptive suspension is BS.

Odd that they leave out the user adjustable verbiage that exists in the other vehicle docs that use adaptive m suspension.

In theory, a suspension could be M specific and adaptive without being user adjustable. Or, maybe it is just tied to the comfort/sport toggle.
