You guy complain about a dealer aying no ED for the M2 until you offer US MSRP, but sure as hell the same bunch would complain if the dealer was "marking up" the price for ED. Some dealers don't do dealer mark ups and for that reason may simply say no ED. But if you offer money to a sales person, why would they say no?

Completely wrong approach to negotiations, IMO.
Why would you start negotiations by acceding to the MSRP!?
To begin with, I think you forgot what MSRP represents: Manufacturers SUGGESTED Retail Price. That word is a clue, sent to you by the manufacturer, intended to convey to you that if you don't like the number on the sticker, then make an lower offer. Why would anyone turn down, what is, in essence, an invitation from the manufacturer to negotiate and save themselves some money?

FWIW, I bought my 235 from Steve Thomas in LA. No where near the midwest - but hear me out. I lived in Las Vegas at the time - a 4/5 hour drive. No big deal - but they DID offer to have it shipped to a local dealer instead of their dealership after my ED. I didn't take them up on the offer, but it was available.

So, if you ask, and have a CA willing to work with you, they might be willing to ship it to a local dealer (for a small charge) so that you wouldn't need to travel far to pick up your new car after your trip.

ED is worth it. 1000x worth it.
