The mirror lenses are where the differences come in. The drinker's side is convex for US models, with the driver's side apparently being plain glass. Both sides are wide angle for LHD and RHD European models. Edit: That said, there is a noticeable difference in the actual mounting to the door, with the left mounting (as viewed from the rear of the car) being a different shape to the right.
