TE37 SL - 18"vs 19"? Also, need offset assistance please!
Hi all, I just recently picked up a 2018 m2 and am looking for your thoughts on wheel sizes. I'm set on TE37 Super Laps, but trying to decide between 18" vs 19" diameter. Specifically, the specs are as follows:
Option 1 19x9.5 et21 19x10.5 et35 Option 2 18x9.5 et22 18x10.5 et20 Car is completely stock, with no plans to lower as of yet. I plan on dailying the TEs, with occasional track time (once a year, more or less), and I plan on upgrading tire sizes to 265/35 and 285/35. That being said: 1. What are the obvious (or perhaps not-so-obvious) advantages with staying on 19s vs downsizing to 18s? Any traction control issues or other electronic items to consider/mitigate? 2. Are these offsets too aggressive for stock height/camber, and any potential rubbing/clearance issues? I'm new to fitment and still trying to wrap my head fully around how those specs will look. 3. It seems like 18" is the more popular size for TEs. I have no intent on selling for now, but are TEs in 19" that much more difficult to offload? 4. For those with 18s, what are your thoughts on how they look? If you could do it over again would you choose 19s or stick with 18s? Same question but flipped for the 19" owners! I've read up on some previous threads with similar topics, but I'd appreciate any new/fresh perspectives if you're willing to share. Thank you!

2. 18x10.5 et20 on the rear is probably too aggressive. The 19s setup should be fine at stock ride height. I personally run 18x10 +40 with a spacer, more common setup is 18x10 +25 square 3. I think 18s look better! 18s are probably easier to resell due to tire availability 4. Very happy with 18s, don't think I'm ever going to run 19s on my car since getting the AP racing bbk |

I had similar questions and was considering 18's vs 19's as well! Due to tire availability, cost, and potential resell ease, I think I will go with 18's with beefier sidewall to minimize some of the fender/wheel gap. The +20 offset does seem quite low, on the Volk website (at least for 18" TE37 Sagas) they recommend 18x10.5 +30.
