What is done per 1200 mile break in service apart from oil change? Is differential or transmission fluid is changed?

BTW how many quarts of engine oil does our cars take?

Mine took exactly 7 liters of oil. That's 7.4 quarts. I did a DIY oil change a couple of weeks ago and measured what came out.

Why does my car think that break in service is at 1250 miles, initially it showed 1200 miles but for the last few hundred miles it shows its due around 1250 miles?

The official service is metric at 2000km, or 1243 miles. The OB service indicator works to the original metric target, not the 1200 miles as stated in the manual.

Maybe you are right but initially the car showed 1200 miles and since last few hundred it changed to 1240

Yes I think the counter does some rounding until you get closer to target then it changes the units from hundreds to tens, that's when it adds 40.

Believe it or not, it's not needed. I didn't believe and had mine changed at 5,000 miles and had the fluid sent out for analysis. Said it was totally fine (manual transmission btw).
