Yes i used a super soft microfibre cloth and used the number 2 Novus polish (3 might be too harsh not sure) and then wiped it clean with the number 1 Novus. I didn't have to polish it very hard at all as mine were fairly fine and superficial

35% tint all around. Needs a bath.

She has no steering wheel right now. My new wheel is supposed to be delivered by fedex by end of day today and here we are 741pm eastern and still not here.

If it magically shows up I'll post a picture of that. Will take 5 minutes to put it in since I've prepped the car already.

Beautiful color! Enjoy and let's see the steering wheel when it gets installed!

Drove from Gig Harbor, WA to Ontario OR today.

Tried to go through Mt. Ranier National Park through Longmire & Paradise, but I couldn't get to Yakima due to road damage, so I had to divert through Packwood.

On the plus side (and to make up for lack of twisties), I did a loop off I84 in eastern Oregon between La Grande and North Powder-- highways 244, 51 & 73 (see below).

Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

Tomorrow? Idaho Mountain Passes.

PS: Butler Motorcycle Maps? Waaaaaay handy to find fun, twisty roads to play on.

Awesome! Word of advice in case you haven't done Idaho mountain passes before, make sure you fill up every chance you can even if you still have 3/4 of a tank left. The tank is small on this car and some stretches in those passes go for 200+ miles without fuel stations.

I live in Seattle and feel in need of a vacation / road trip. I'll have to check some of these out. Thanks!

Oh- on the Butler maps (pictured above), Yellow is "Epic", Red is "Awesome" and Gold is "Fun". In other words, Yellow, Red, Gold in order of Awesomeness.

Awesome. I'll pick up a map tomorrow. Sounds more reliable than "avoid highways" on google

Delayed another day. It's in some fedex home van in some person's driveway.

I had to reinstall the steering wheel to go in for break in service tomorrow but at least I have the red M buttons in. Felt like 50 more HP.

Ah have to wait another few days...

How hard was it to install the red M1/2 caps? Is it simply just prying the OEM caps off and forcing the new ones on?

You could probably try prying, but I'd be worried about breaking the plastic tabs holding them in that's attached to the rest of the bracket. I think you just need to undo the trim to change them. That entire bank of buttons is held in with a single torx screw behind the wheel. Not sure there's enough slack to only undo that one though. Might have to take the center trim off to get more slack on the wires. ETA now that I thought about it, you definitely have to take off the trip because it holds in the button module some.

There's 3 screws on the back of the module you have to take off to get to them.

Installed door seals and a new M Plate cover. Seals resulted in a 5-6 dB decrease in road noise at 100 kph.

Just got them at the local dealership. They can be found for cheaper from getbmwparts.com. Part numbers I found earlier in this thread and from another post on another forum. There are installation instructions on the other forum as well. It took about 10 minutes for the first one and 5 minutes for the second once I figured it out.
