Review: FTP Motorsports M2 Boost+Charge pipes
What's going on guys, I partnered up with FTP Motorsports to review their M2 boost + charge pipe upgrade kit.
Firstly, I would have to say their shipping is the fastest I have ever experienced, especially since they shipped from Taiwan to my home in southern California. Upon receiving the delivery, I analyzed all of the parts and they were absolutely flawless. Beautifully machined out of aluminum and covered in a rough black powder coating. Inside and out, the parts had no defects. The company makes all of these parts in Taiwan. The installation of the parts was not bad, only took about 2 hours with the help of a friend. The charge pipe was a simple installation, and the boost pipe was a bit more difficult due to all of the piping on the left side of the engine bay surrounding the turbo. The fitment to the OE ports was absolutely perfect. Snapped right into place and clamped very easily. The sensors transferred very easily to the charge pipe via machined ports. The kit came with all of the hardware and extra O-rings and clips. There are meth ports just in case anyone wants to add that type of fueling. My buddy that was helping me even said the fitment was better than he expected, as he paid much more for his charge pipe set and the fitment was not as perfect as this set from FTP. Overall, I am very pleased with the charge pipe set from FTP Motorsports. Amazing quality and finish, superb fitment, fast shipping, and low pricing. I have attached pictures of the parts and installation. Let me know if you have any questions! My instagram is @Project_f87 in case any of you want to follow my build. |

My FTP pipes went on Perfectly......no problems....only
one slight problem.....the instructions were in Chinese, but with some knowledge of the parts can be figured out...... Price is right also.

I used FTP's boost and charge pipes on my N47 328d. I agree with you that they make a good product and at a good price. I found it interesting how they use an "x-ring" vs the tapered o-ring BMW uses in the coupler to the FMIC inlet/outlets. The connection on mine was SUPER solid. Also their CEO was very responsive and helpful when I enquired about their product.
The only complaint I have is the hose clamps they include are kind of weak. I replaced the ones on mine with Breeze HTM clamps. |

Good to know OP. My box arrived last week (2days after I ordered!!). These will go on the car next Monday along with a Wagner Evo II FMIC and a Pure turbo inlet pipe...and an Eventuri intake (if it ever arrives from the UK) - all part of BM3 prep.

This photo illustrates well why jubilee clips are a no-no for silicone couplers - the inner band can dig into the coupler and has potential to cause a failure over time ie many HP/HT cycles....

Use the Breeze HTM clamps with liners. You can really tighten these down securely and not worry about breaking them. |

If what you're clamping is close to the max advertised diameter of the breeze clamp, go up one size. |

I had the FTP charge pipes for a while on my car, my car made 400+ HP and almost 470 lb-ft of torque. The clamps it comes with works just fine!! I just removed them from my car and they held up great.
Kayo at FTP is awesome, and yes shipping just makes 0 sense how he gets the package from Taiwan to California in just one day amazes me. He's the greatest. You can't go wrong with FTP, if anyones interested in a used set I'm selling mine. Comes with all the O-Rings and Clips too! Also, Kayo provides excellent customer support first package had a dent so he sent a new cold side (large piece only) and I kept the dented one (minimal dent but I wanted the absolute best lol). FTP FTW! |
