Even though there were a few custom 1ms that made it out of the factory In colors like Java Green and Sepang Bronze, I don't recall any of them actually being red. Not hating here. Because I think BMW SHOULD make sports cars in red... Just don't think it's a good idea to get ones hopes up. And certainly making declarative statements like " I won't buy it unless " simply makes the chance of " egg on face" more likely later on |

The front lights on the 1 series are far, far, far worse than the rear lights on the 2 series. Addressed slightly with the facelift admittedly. The lit up LED pattern on the 2 series rear lights is actually very nice and probably my favourite of any BM, bar concept lights. But they could do with being thinned and made a bit sleeker. |

This has nothing really to do with a "CSL" version, unless that version does get a functional brake air intake |

I'm not really liking the look here next to the M4. The M4 looks more exotic/sporty with its shorter height overall especially the front and the M2 looks quite bulldogish like the 1M especially on that front view shot. Also the white is horrible next to the bright M4.

Well the M4 is on a higher echelon...
The M2 follows a different design path to the M4 which BMW already stated previously at the time of releasing the M235i racing. |

What I'm getting at? You're imagining it. The camoflauge is doing its job on the black mule and messing with your eyes. There's no fender cutout. Why would there be on a street car that doesn't have a rear mounted engine. Think about it. Look at the white test mule and compare. Several people have already discounted the rear vent. The biggest question to ask is - why would the car warrant one? |

Why would a front engine car have a rear vent? BMW should answer that one. Also, it seems that this shading was generated from a very specific lighting angle. Just being skeptical here. |

The fender gills that started on the E46 became scoops on the E90, dents in the 1M, and have gotten wider and larger on the F80 and now it's only a matter of creating a sweeping character line in the shape of a swoosh to the rear ... Making a similar fender opening on the quarter panel as it incorporates into a beefy rear haunch at the rear. The M2 looks like it will have more room for tires at the rear than the M4/M3 ... Just like the 1M does over the E9x ... They wear the same original shoes... But not at the track... |

Sorry if this sounds stupid but, to me, this looks more or less exactly like an M235i. It desperately needs a power bulge on the bonnet (hood ?)

Yeah, true. I lived out in Indiana for 3 years and loved it, but ultimately I missed NY/LI and came back. But I am ready to get the hell out of here now, but that is just not gonna happen any time soon.

Let's just assume that they did have an air vent back there (let's say for cooling), the would not be testing it with camo on it. Completely defeats the purpose. For all we know, that could be a bolt on panel under the camo. But I give it almost 0 chance that the car will have rear vents like the GT6 concept. Makes no sense. Quote:
Personally, I can hardly see the power dome on the M3/4.

The pics were taken in Camarillo. Don't know if that's a city or the shopping center name haha
