MY 2020 vs MY 2019 Any differences?

I have looked for this on the forum and couldn't find it- are they identical- any links from BMWNA? Going to have to order MY 2020 seeing if anything is different. Thanks for any assistance.

All I’ve seen is that the inside trim of the tail lights is darker than before. The difference between the two is hardly noticeable.

Not sure about other countries, in that they seem to be able to select more individual options, but from what I have read, some people think that the only change is the tail lights for 2020 are a bit darker. Never saw any confirmation. Otherwise, no differences.

Carplay I believe. $300 one time charge on 2019 models. "Free" on the 2020, but $80/year after the first year.

I mentioned that was messed up, but the CA told me it was Apple making that deal now. Who know, just capitalism doing its thing.

No one else is doing it, that I know of, so it’s probably just BMW. I can get free Android Auto and CarPlay in a 25k Hyundai.

Nothing changed here. It's subscription for 2019 models as well. No difference between the 2 model years except tail lights are slightly darker on the 2020.

I would def. get a 2020 for resale value alone. Take a look at 2017 & 2018 M3 models. The 2018s are selling for $5-7K (even more in some cases) higher than the 2017s.
The only difference between the two M2s is the 2020 has tinted taillights. This was done because of how cool M2C drivers are. Think of it as Stunner Shades for your car.

All new BMWs have tinted taillights, even down to the FWD 2 series GC.

It was changed across the board..

Not at all lol. Side note: I do like the screen name. I loved all the oddball Simpsons characters (Arnie Pye comes to mind).

Same here, I didn't get a lot of the humor until I was much older and re-watched it. It's so witty and subliminal for an animated series.

Tip: download the "FX" APP and you can go all the way back to the first season of "The Simpsons.."

It's a hidden gem

Thanks, will do. I think the best scene ever was the Principal Skinner and Superintendent Chalmers & the 'Steamed Hams.'

Anyways, BMWs and stuff.

Wow really? I dont know either but sounds like BMW to me because I just got a 2019 AMG E63S and it has car play free of charge and no subscriptions of any kind.

I can't tell in any of the pics I'm finding. Does anyone have a side by side of the 2019 vs 2020 tail lights?
