What is the first thing you bought for your new M2C?

I was at the track this week when a friend inquired about the remaining number of days before I have my M2C in the garage. I replied that while I had about another 3 weeks to go, I have already accumulated about $6k USD worth of parts and accessories for the car. Items waiting to be installed include: 763M Black wheels, Wheel Stud Kit, Reflector delete and CF side gills to match the M Performance CF ordered with the car.

Am I the only one who cannot resisting buying stuff for a car that I don't have yet? What have you purchased in advance of getting your M2C?

I had the M Performance half-alcantara steering wheel and IND polar blue M1/M2/Starter buttons a few months before I took delivery; they went on the next day.

My allocation is for next month so I still have some time, so far I have
iND painted front reflectors painted alpine white
Honeycomb rear reflector deletes.
I am very tempted to call the dealer and see if it’s too late change the color to Hockenheim Silver, it’s starting to really grow on me, I would have to buy another set of painted reflectors.

Haven’t bought too many mods because I am currently working on my 1999 M3 with 53,000 miles. Doing all the maintenance work and a couple of period correct modifications.

I don’t plan to do much in terms of mods or add-ons. I’m doing ED in mid-July and won’t get the car in the US until likely October. But I can’t help but pickup a few items while I’m waiting. So far I’ve bought in order:

Veepeak OBDC reader scanner
Rubber USB plug cover for port at cup holder
Bimmercode app
Bimmerlink app
BMW Sunshade

On the list to get:
M Performance Pedals
BMW All Weather Floor Mats-Basic Line, front and rear and trunk
Front reflector deletes-Hockenheim Silver
Honeycomb rear reflector deletes (likely gloss black)
Window Tinting

Under consideration:
M Performance Open Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel trim piece only
Key hole deletes
Focal speaker replacements

Exactly. I went with 12mm front and 10mm rear because I want them to sit flush and not to poke out at all.

I have a set of BC Forged wheels on my radar too, but I’m a huge fan of the OEM M2C wheels as well which is why I ordered the spacers.

First thing I bought was the Active Autowerke Signature Exhaust. Had been talking to them since I did ED and 2 months later after the car landed in USA couple days after it was here I was down in Miami for the install.

Very nice! Is your M2C your daily or more of a weekend fun/track car? I’m curious since you’re adding the Carbotechs. Also, any plans to add coilovers?

weekend/track but some long trips. I have ~9k on it so far. I don't mind the brake squeal.

No coil overs anytime soon, doesn't need it imo. Car is super stiff and fast as hell as is especially with the magic diff.
I'm used to tracking E30s so this is like a quantum leap for someone used to driving at 10/10ths of a car's ability.
