This.

I wish companies would stop with the "starting at X" marketing. Some actually sell halfway decent cars at that price point but others? Omg

Fun fact, I made a base cayman $108k in the configuration by simply adding the performance options and some interior bits. Didn’t even go all out with the options.

I wonder if any US dealer would let you order that, lol. A few years ago I specified a base Boxster to 100k+ and also made it as ugly as possible. Lime gold exterior with deviating color red wheels, red interior, lime gold air vents, yellow seatbelts, red top, etc. They would probably ask for some kind of huge non-refundable deposit on something that ugly.

I don't know the US prices, but here you need 70/75k euros for a base Cayman and 80/85 for a Cayman S (quite well equipped - no PCCB - and discounted) and 70k euros for a Supra, no options and no discount available.
Just for reference, the M2S starts from 67k euros with manual gearbox, but you can get a good discount and pay a well equipped model much less than 70k. There is no market here for the Supra in my opinion.

The prices are farther apart in the US I think. Supra starts at $50k USD / $55k equipped. M2C is $60k. The 718 Cayman S starts at $68k but this is not a real car - you can't find it nor would you want it. The GTS is $81k which is representative of a properly equipped Cayman S. So Cayman S/GTS cost around 1.5x more than a Supra in the US. By those ratios, a well equipped Cayman S would cost 100k EUR for you.

Got it.
We have only one version of Supra (GR Premium) very well equipped and quite expensive, and because of the limited edition (900 cars for 2019 in all of Europe, of which less than 100 in Italy) it is not possible to get even 1 euro discount.
