How to shave at least 40 unsprung lbs. from your M2 CS
Hello Gents,
We've posted in the general M2 areas on numerous occasions, but I wanted to make sure all the new CS owners know that we can dramatically lower your curb weight/unsprung weight while adding a laundry list of performance benefits. Our AP Racing by Essex Radi-CAL Competition Brake Kits save almost as much weight of the OEM carbon ceramic brake option, without all the headaches and compromises of that setup. I titled the post 'at least' 40 unsprung lbs., because our AP Racing brake system also allows for the use of lightweight 18" wheels and tires, while still providing ample heat capacity for extended lapping sessions. Essex is now an authorized APEX wheel dealer, so we can set you up with a wheel and brake package that will save you more along the lines of 50-60 unsprung pounds. You can see the details and a comparison to the OEM brakes on the Essex Blog, "Shave 40 unsprung pounds from your BMW M2". A short list of the benefits our system offers:
You can also visit the Essex blog to see how our clients are using our lightweight brake systems to win races, set records, and end their brake frustrations: https://www.essexparts.com/news-blog Here's a video from one of our customers showing just how easy it is to install our system: https://www.essexparts.com/news-blog...-kit-on-his-m2 APEX also has a nice fitment guide for selecting wheels based on your mods and how to use the car: https://support.apexraceparts.com/hc...-Fitment-Guide A few installed pics below on various colors and behind different wheels so you can see how they look. Let us know how we can help you improve your car and better enjoy your time at the track! Some videos on our Competition Kits: |

id be curious to see side by side comparison on the performance of these vs factor carbon ceramics (with proper brake fluid).
