UK Used prices
There are less used M2 on UK autotrader and prices are holding strong, I would say prices are higher on low mileage cars, compared to when I was looking at a used M2 but I found a cancelled order.
There is a number of used cars at the same price I paid for my new LCI.

You are joking, aren't you?
There are loads of them for sale and prices have definitely dropped across the board in 2018. I suspect this has been driven by the glut of pre-reg cars BMW have dumped onto the market (annoyingly though the vast majority are bloody DCT) Approx 100 DCT's and 11 manual cars on BMW Approved alone. |

115 listed on BMW AUC tonight.
Choice of about a dozen Pre-reg/delivery mileage cars, choice of colour with a decent spec for under £43k - DCT though. I've specifically been looking for a manual grey with HK and have been watching prices/cars closely since October. Nothing for me available new but a lot more used (on P'heads and AT) than ever. The market for M2's has changed, and changed quickly recently. ETA - 30+ pre-reg Dec17/Jan18 cars listed. Last edited by swanny71; 02-21-2018 at 02:50 PM.. |

TBH I think the UK M2 market is pretty strong, go and check out M3/4s for a shock, at last look there was huge choice of well spec'd CP pack pre reg'd M4s in the low 50s. It looks to me like the market fell out of bed last year and dealers are starting to panic about being stuck with pre reg'd stock.

Agree the market is good (as in cars are being sold) it's just that asking/sale prices have changed pretty significantly.
I think all but the most optimistic/naive knew this had to happen eventually, I'm just surprised how quickly. |

I called a number of dealer when I first started looking sep, Oct for an M2, I found a number of cars had sold. You have to remember standard new M2s are going for 46-49 DCT, pre reg/ demos going for 43-45k (and most are pre LCI)is cheaper but not amazing. Most 40-42k cars are 16/66 plate, M2 is 2 years old this March. 8-10k over 2 years (16 plate ) isn't bad, I would say is good as the 3rd year it will slow down even more.
I was chatting with a member around Xmas and he had the same problem cars sold, he found a new black M2 with discount. Like I said white M2 in my dealers show room the other day and no discount as they know it will sell.

My local dealer has just listed three Feb18 cars under 43k, gonna call tomorrow and see what the score is. If they are physical cars and that price is genuine then I might compromise and have DCT.
