FYI: Total Weight of Apex EC-7 18" Square Setup

I just got my Michelin PS4S 265/35-18's mounted to my Apex EC-7 18x9.5" wheels and was curious what the total weight would be (including TPMS, balancing weights, and tape). Turned out to be 47.2 lbs.

Anyone else have comparable numbers to share? A few that I'd be curious to know:

-437M with new PS4S
-437M with worn PS4S
-a "light" M2 wheel/tire combo
-what a typical Miata setup would weigh

I pulled the wheel off a friend's Miata last week, and my guess is that it would be about half the weight of my 437Ms.

I heard back from my NA Miata buddy. He’s got 15x7 Advanti Storm wheels and with RE-71RS 205/50R15 tires that would put his weight right at 31lbs. Not bad.

I think these are going to look pretty good! Tire diameter is 26.3" for the 19" stock setup and 25.3" for my new 18" Apex setup, so the car will sit a bit lower. I'm curious to see how that looks.

Other interesting fact: the 265/35-19 tires weigh a half pound LESS than the 265/35-18 tires.

Your 19 inch tire is new or old? Old tire has less rubber so the weight loss makes sense

That's the weight of the brand new tire per Michelin's website. Whenever I get my 19's unmounted I'll try to weigh them to get an "after" number.

I had my OEM wheels off today, so I weighed them as well:

front 437M w/ PS4S (~6/32" tread): 44.5 lbs
rear 437M w/ PS4S (~6/32" tread): 50.1 lbs

So the average weight of the staggered 437M+tires is 47.3 lbs, which is essentially the same weight as the square Apex EC-7+tires (47.2lbs).

437M with the factory sized Michelin PSS (245/265 35/19) shortly after I picked up the car back in 2018.

Front: 46.55lbs

Rear: 51.35lbs

Yesterday I had Yokohama AD08Rs installed in 255/275 35/19 sizes. I'll try and put them on scales for you today. No SLA commitment though as the body is aching a bit after the Bivalent and Flu shots yesterday.
