New to San Diego

Hi All,

I am moving to San Diego next week with my 2020 M2C. I am wondering if anyone has recommendations on the following:

- BMW specialist shop: back in the Bay Area I would usually change my oil every 5k from a BMW specialist (I went to SV Bimmer) instead of going to the dealer every time
- Good places to hand wash the car myself (I'll be in an apartment for year 1 unfortunately)
- Good spots to go for a spirited drive

Looking forward to meeting any M2 owners in SD as well!

Awesome shop they have a lot of cool shop cars. Really nice group of guys who know their bmw's.

What part of San Diego? There aren't too many self service car wash places that I can think of. More down south, not so much up north or on the coastal parts.

Highland valley rd (pretty short)
Palomar mtn south grade 6
Ortega hwy 74 from lake Elsinore
Some pretty nice driving around Julian

Unfortunately everything is a bit of ways from the center of San Diego.

Following as I also live in SD and recently got a M2C. Have taken old BMWs to some shops but would be good to know what other recommend!

Self car wash places like @Mark.h said are more down south. I go to one in Ocean Beach called OB Suds I believe. There is one in Pacific Beach as well.
Spirited driving spots also like Mark said are more on the outskirts. Julian area, Palomar Mtn (full of motorcycles, need to go early). I've yet to explore with the M2C, would be down to do a drive together!

+1 for BimmerSpeed for all things maintenance/repairs. Oil change price is super affordable there!

Euro Auto Spot is also a good garage

Sd garage is cool they are in Escondido, Jeff has been taking care of my bmws for 5 years

If in North County I can recommend All German Auto and Oceanside Motorsport. Both specialize in BMWs are have good reputations.

SD Garage all the way. They take care of a decent amount of M2s in the area.
