*** bootmod3 *** New Dashboard features

Hey guys, wanted to demo the new bootmod3 dashboard and gauge features to you that over time we have collected and now incorporated.

Here are the new features included with the latest 0.10.047 update:

- peak recall for min and max values
- re-arrangement of gauge using simple drag and drop
- close gauges by tapping on them and hitting the x in the top right corner
- orientation detection and handling so gauges render appropriately on mobile devices as device changes orientation from portrait to landscape and back
- ability to set alarms - min and max threshold values, if breached for a given channel with place a red border around that channel for a period of 5 secs currently. We can expand on this further if needed. Suggestions welcome as always
- configure precision(decimals) if defaults aren’t satisfactory for any reason (we have defaults set up for what we feel is pretty decent, e.g. engine speed won’t show with decimal places 🙂
- show a pointer on the gauge or turn it off
- change colours for pointer, gauge sweep and dial
- configure custom min and max values for each gauge
- configure gauge refresh speed. Default is realtime (fastest updating no delay) but you can now also slow down updates to each gauge as needed to 1, 5 or 10 Hz (1, 5 or 10 updates per second)
- set each gauge to imperial or metric units and in case of pressure channels to absolute or relative, overriding the global defaults if you like. Say boost you like in psi but temp you prefer Celsius for some reason, now you can
- speed, gauges in realtime even faster responding
- small mobile device screen support (i.e. iPhone 5)
- using a fixed width font for gauge values

There is more coming and as always we’re looking to you guys for suggestions so we can build this out even further where needed. Let us know your thoughts💪💪

Web version and the new OBD Agent are released. Android and iOS apps are in app review and should hopefully be available soon for download/update.

NOTE: Excuse the low res on the video. It was an upload to Facebook which decided to shrink the resolution of it for some reason

Agent .047 version messed up with logging channel. Some channels are shown in disorder from logs. Need a hot fix please.

Won't work without the very expensive OBD WIFI adapter from PTF. Another $300 bucks.

Agent updated to V048, reset to default fix all the display issues.

Works fine hardwired to my laptop. No WiFi needed.

Who wants to drive with a laptop in the passenger seat. The issue here is that PTF needs to make this work with a standard VLINK OBD WIFI adapter.

You can build an OBD agent for less than $100, and it's far faster and more reliable than using a crappy WiFi adaptor. I'm not the only person that's had issues even just coding with a WiFi adaptor and Bimmercode, I'd certainly not trust updating my DME over WiFi!

There are a few How-Tos out there for building your own OBD Agent, if you can't find them, PM me.

So, it does work, you just don’t like seatbelting in your laptop.

I get it, but it’s not an issue I have. I only needed to connect up a few times in the beginning to tweak settings, upload maps, and take logs. No need to hook up very often.

Is anyone else having an issue with datalogs that are 2000+ seconds long? I usually do pulls that are 8-20 seconds long and in the past, logging has been fine, but yesterday I did 15+ pulls and only one was an accurate 11 second log, all the others were somehow north of 700 seconds...what am I doing wrong all of a sudden?

That's the thing, they were only 10-20 second pulls but they were showing up as 700-2000 seconds long like my laptop was in log mode all the time.

Working fine now.

Is it possible to separate burble settings by Sport and Sport+ instead of just one setting for both?
