Picking the car up tomorrow. Finished. The shop says it sounds great but that is all subjective. I hope it sounds great to my ears.
Resonator has been spliced in and curious if anyone else has done this? |

Did you use the stock resonator? Was this done at BMW? |

At normal cruising It is barely noticeable. Flaps open or closed. I don't want to jump the gun but seems quieter than the stock. No drone at highway speeds.
Flaps closed WOT it sounds about the same as stock. WOT flaps open and it's definitely louder than stock but not as loud as some I have heard. Probably because res. deleted. It does turn heads. I'm happy. but to each his own. |

I didn't get any pics but I'll have the car on jacks bleeding the brakes this weekend and a pad change. I'll try to get pics to show location. |

Got mine back today and I have a very noticeable difference than stock. Flaps closed, not so loud, but flaps open, it's quite loud. I did add the resonator but still have some drone. I'll report back after a few hundred miles in case it's just due to being the first drive. I will say the drone isn't enough to change my mind about the exhaust but if it were way louder without having added the resonator, I might second guess

I have my stock exhaust. What kind of work would I be asking a shop to perform by splicing in my stock resonator onto my already installed MPE?
