Also, the fuel is different in the UK, I use 99 RON fuel, which is equivalent to US 94 octane.

Is this taken into consideration when flashing non US cars?
I am ready to make a purchase but need these points clarified first. They are kind of important!

Different strokes. BM3 is also cheaper than VF, but some people want a set-it-and-forget-it tune that will work with any fuel, and has been extensively road-tested. That's not to say that MHD hasn't -- I have MHD on my N55 135i, for what it's worth -- though some folks like VF's track record and other offerings, which gives buyers peace of mind. The benefit of the new OBD flashing process is that we now have lots of options to choose from and not one of them is bad. Everyone wins.

I just ran the car for the 1st time with the stage 2 tune.
I'll have to see if I can get someone to film as I drive. My m2 is 6mt.
From what I glimpsed, the needles never got anywhere close to the end of the gauge arc though.

Same here, but I kinda don't expect them to in my case. I have stage one and I dyno'd my car. I know it wouldn't reach the upper fifth.

I'm guessing the pricing will most likely "settle" now that there is competition.

Personally, I'd rather go with something that can be e-tuned and dialed in by a pro. Rarely have I owned any car where an OTS map has ran 100% without needing tweaking.

I mean you can buy a Kia Stinger GT and get the same HP for half the price of an M2.

Careful there. MHD is not fly-by-night, man. They own the N54 flash space, and do well on the E-series N55 side of things, too. Plus they have an M2 as a shop car. They know what they’re doing.

I love my BM3. They touched up my OTS map for my shitty 91 octane. MHD was great for me on my N54. They came in at such low price compared to Cobb and Cobb left everyone hanging for too long and did nothing. BM3 though is a different level altogether and price difference is negligable. Different ballgame here and N54 altogether.

I wasn't meaning to attack MHD. I was simply stating just because one company is cheap doesn't mean that all the other companies should lower their pricing.

I am ready to make a purchase but need these points clarified first. They are kind of important!

The startup-roar and throttle overrun (burble) is enhanced slightly with
our software. It's not as dramatic as coming from a car such as an M3/M4
which doesn't have it at all, but we are making subtle changes with gives
a bit more "personality".

Our software does maintain full adaptation for climate and fuel quality.
94 octane fuel in the UK does mean that the car will make slightly better
power than our advertised gains on California 91 Octane.

We were in the UK last month and validated multiple ///M cars on the
same Mustang AWD dyno as we use in our Anaheim, CA facility. The
results will indeed meet/exceed all of our advertised gains.

Can you link the dyno charts from the obd flash?

There will no doubt be less expensive options presenting themselves
as more and more companies try to capture market share.

Rather than getting into the debate about who's/who and what's/what,
we feel strongly that our price point still represents one of the single
best upgrades you can do to your M2 in terms of "dollar to horsepower"
with the added confidence that our product is turn-key and delivers
exactly as advertised.

We see value in our development, testing, and validation processes, as
well as the local/regional/international support systems we have in place.
A typical HEX Tuning customer puts confidence and convenience ahead
of pricing and customization. Knowing where the product comes from,
having dyno plots as reference for stage levels, and real world reviews
from paying customers goes a very long way.

Price and value are not always synonymous, and perceived value will no
doubt be different for different folks. The only thing we can do is rely on
our own results, reputation, and real world reviews to influence who they
may. The rest is absolutely up to the consumer.

How can I purchase the tune? I can't find any link to add to cart on your page. Can you PM me with your best pricing for Stage 1? Thanks!
