▀■▀■ Armytrix NAILED The M2 Exhaust!! By Far The Best Sounding Exhaust System! LISTEN

Our BMW F87 M2 project for our friend Amanda, has undergone some extensive modification over the past few weeks. So far we have been focused more on the visual aspect of the vehicle, improving the looks and aerodynamics with RKP Carbon Fiber and KW Suspension. Now that we have the vehicle looking the way we like, naturally the next thing to do was performance upgrades. To free up the flow of exhaust and add a signature sound to the N55 Twin turbo straight 6, we opted for the Armytrix Valvetronic exhaust system. And the reason for this choice will soon be obvious as soon as you watch the video! Armytrix absolutely nailed this system! This is by far, the best sounding straight 6 I have ever heard! Take a listen!

That does sound good, especially if it's twin turbo as stated. Unfortunately, I'm sure it's a typo. Sorry, prospective M2 Competition buyers .

Niiiice !!!! How does the price of that compare with the M-Performance exhaust ? Not taking into account the cost of the catless downpipe.

I have an Armytrix exhaust on my 435i, and I won't ever buy another exhaust from them again.

Sounds great. Wish a cattless downpipe wasnt required to get it. Do you have a vid with the cat still installed?

Also advice to anyone considering this, don’€™t ever get their downpipes.

For the money they charge you, you?re better off with ER downpipes.

All N55 downpipes (including stock catalytic converter) have an outlet size of 4?. Armytrix has a 4? flange but a 2.8? pipe (It?s been a couple of months since I threw my Armytrix downpipe away), look up Venturi effect and you?ll see why this is trash.

Sorry, is there not a rear photo from a few feet off of the ground shown? You can clearly see them. Just look at the still on the video. That camera is at the M2 emblem height. Anyone behind you 20 feet will see the flanges. How do I know this? well because you can see the M performance muffler from far away and those flanges look even lower than that muffler sits. Watch the video and pause it at 3 or 4 seconds in...

Sound is just loud. No tone to it. If you see all of their exhausts, it sounds exactly like a straight-piped car. No melody or refined sound to it.

The downpipe is pretty self-explanatory. When I went in to get BM3, the shop refused to install BM3 until I changed my downpipe so that I don't blow my turbo or worse due to the downpipe design. He told me it's supposed to be 4' but instead its around 2.8' (less than OEM), and that at higher performance levels, it would definitely damage the car (Due to the Venturi Effect).

Spoke to Armytrix regarding this issue of a subpar downpipe which costed me $600, and asked for a refund or some sort of compensation since I had to buy another downpipe, they denied any design flaws, and refused to compensate me.

Also, to install the exhaust, you have to fit a T-connection at your brake pump, as its the only source of vacuum in the car.

Just go with MPE, it's controlled electronically so extremely minimal lag (Armytrix on auto was like playing with fire; the valve would take so long to open, so it's really a downgrade from OEM).

You could be getting much better value for your money, that's all I'm saying. I don't want anyone to go through the same thing I did.

vividracing in which mode was the car when you revved it? Was Traction mode engaged? I think it wasn't...

The quality levels of Armytrix exhausts is the fact that worries me. I heard so many problems with them. The remote you get with is a bit of a fail in my opinion. It is really cheap and on the M2 it is pretty much useless.

My valve is always open, since in Sport, Sport+ and Traction the valve is always open. The only time it is closed is in comfort mode and then I can open it via my Awron display... but in all honesty I never do it. All in all, it is useless to override it with a remote. Keep it connected to the stock set up!

In my opinion this is DEFINITELY not the best exhaust made for a M2, and I also think it is not the best sounding out there. It completely lacks the high pitch snap around 3,5K RPM some of the other exhausts have.

My last point is how low the two pipes are passing the diff... not sure mine are so low. I would be worried if I lowered my M2 to rip those off driving over a puthole or ridge which is a sticking out.

The remote thing is on point. I ditched the whole vacuum valve thing for a constantly open valve.

Vacuum setup is so useless, and won't perform as fast as stock electronic actuators

Quality is good for the price, but people oversell Armytrix and what they're really capable of, thus allowing Armytrix to drive price up for some of their lesser designed parts (N55 Downpipe).
