I didn't say 51k was what the dealers would be asking; I meant what listed MSRP would be. Sorry if that was unclear...

And could you blame them? What would YOU charge people for something that the entire interweb is going nuts over? Supply and demand.

Dude how old are you? The entire inter web and planet could give two shits about an m2. Really? I think more car folks this year busted a nut over the hellcat, are dying to buy a mustang gt350R, actually excited about the Civic Type R possibly in the US, Happy about an Audi RS3 possibly here and have gone nuts for the Z06 vette. This is cool and all but nobody but us forum guys give a shit.

When you see real weekend and club racers selling their e46 and e36 Ms for an m2 specifically for track duty........then we'll talk.

Ha, you wanna put some money on that?
You show me an invoice and Bill of sale with 51k before all the fees, prove its yours and I'll PayPal you $100. Or if you want we can wager more.

Funny thing is that those $20k built club racing e36 M3s will outrun this around most circuits ;-)

This will make a great daily though. No doubt! Hoping to pick one up down the road.

I will bet you $100.00 that the M2 I get will not be marked up 1 penny. Deal? Can't guarantee the price because there is no official price yet...

Just a mater of speaking.

You will get a great deal as long as you decide you will. Simple as that.

Once I have the M2, i will retrofit the M4 coupe front seats. Based on real-oem,
the seats are based on the same base frame, therefore i think it will fit. Maybe some coding and would be fine. That is just an idea.

I am already hesitating to retrofit the M4 side mirror. My wife has an m235i cabrio and we can easily find an M3 and M4 to test the side mirror, wheather they are ok (maybe with some small modification) for the 2 series coupe/cabrio.

I love the diffuser and rear spoiler!!

Exhaust sounds great but I'm not a fan of carbon tips - I'll wait and see if there is a polished titanium option from Akrapovic or similar.

Also how much are M mirrors? Seriously, great first mod.

Actually i was in contact with akrapovic like 3-4 months ago and got a reply from them saying this. So there is probably a system being developed for the M2 and to be released not to long after the first ones starting to roll of the productions band.

"Hello and thank you for your interest in Akrapovic !

As the Swedish agent for Akrapovic automotive systems, we received your request for this system. When the development time of each system is very long , there is a limited capacity how many new versions to be developed every year. From a BMW perspective we work at present with x5m system and then takes priority on the new M2 , as in the current situation there are no plans to release something to the M235 in 2015. If this were to change , we will feed back to you with information"

Who knows but you will need to do a total replacement of the side mirror unit and before doing that have to make sure its gonna fit the side.

Mmm thanks for that. Doesnt look easy, looks a different shape at the connection point. Might just have to go with carbon caps.

Does anyone know if that's the same spoiler as the current one for the M235? Or is it taller?

I'm 42. And if no one but us forum guys care about the M2, why would the dealers rape us on pricing?

I never said this would be my track car. I'm taking the S to the track this Saturday (because it's more fun to drive a slow car fast). I think the M2 will make a great DD. That's why I'm getting one (well, at least I'm waiting lists at local dealers).

Ok you win, I'm done, "dude"
