245 & 265 on 9.5 and 10.5 wheels?
Have an opportunity to pick up Titan wheels for my M2 CS but would like to put the new TW240 Cup2 Track Connect tires on. (Star Spec) Question is, how will those fit on the wider wheels? Don't want them to look stretched.
So stock tires sizes on 9.5 and 10.5 inch width wheels. |

They will fit but look stretched. I would try 255/35/19 and 275/35/19s.

You won't look back to stock size or 255/275 thereafter |

This is 265/30 & 285/30 on 9.5 & 10.5. Dinan hit it right on the money. |

With 265/295 you will experience greater stability everywhere. Acceleration run, high speed maneuver, corner entry, corner exit, braking, all improved. You can apply throttle earlier and harder in the corners with the 295. With a 265 front, you get higher grip limit and more heat endurance than the stock 245. The understeer limit is higher as a result. Less tyre lockup under heavy braking, ABS comes in later and as a result braking distance is shorter. On paper, the dynamic balance at the limit will shift towards more understeer when on a 30mm stagger vs a stock 20mm stagger (when the tyres are new). However, this does not take into account of the difference in speed and grip limit of the two setups. Physics dictates that a 30mm stagger understeers more than a 20mm stagger at the limit. BUT physics also dictates than a 265/295 setup has a higher grip limit than a 245/265. This means in practise, a 265/295 setup will only understeer at a corner entry speed that is above the grip limit of a 245/265. The 245/265 will already be sliding off the course at that corner entry speed anyway. Cup 2 Connect 265/30 19 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Michelin-Pi...-/164162290495 Cup 2 Connect 295/30 19 seems out of stock for the time being |

Part of me thinks why not skip buying 2nd set of wheels, use the stock 763s and self-insure with the money I save for when/if I damage one. That rather than buy a set that I won't care about damaging with scuffs, etc. |
