Hello, for several weeks now the driver's side window has been making a huge noise when I roll the window down.

The noise can be heard over the first 10 centimeters when the window is lowered, it sounds like the sound of rubber rubbing against the window.

When the window is wet the noise disappears. I tried to put WD40 Dry Lubricant With PTFE on all the joints of the window but that does not change anything (except that my window was all greasy).

Do you know where this noise can come from?, when I lower the window it sounds like a car that is 30 years old

I have had the same problem very recently. Thinking about dropping it off at the shop to have it fixed.

honestly I would have liked to have an idea of the problem, not really want to go to BMW to pay several hundred euros for maybe a nonsense.

dismantling the door panel does not scare me but I must first have an idea of the problem.

I tested the PFTE dry grease, the noise continues when it is very hot.

there must be a seal that rubs on the window but I can't find which one.

I had the same yesterday with my M2, so started searching. :-)

It only does it when going down. Sounds the same (I think) as in the first post.

Just crank up the stereo when rolling the window down. Works 60% of the time, every time.
