Your M2C Approval/Disapproval Level
Since a lot of us are around our computers nowadays more often than before, I figured a poll is in order. Curiosity is the only reason for this thread; let's see how owners feel about their decision. This poll only works if you own an M2C, and preferably, driven more than 1,200 miles. Personally, the M2C puts a smile on my face every time I walk up to it.

Is it the best M car of all time? Not sure, but it's probably the best I've driven which include some crowd favorites like the 1M, E60 M5, E46 M3, E92 M3, etc. But there are plenty of M cars that I never drove. I can tell you this much, I really like the car and right now, there is nothing else compelling enough in the market place that I can afford that would result in a swap.

My biggest complaint at 12500 miles is that I feel that I've changed more things on this car than any previous car (exhaust, wheels/tires, audio). The audio ALWAYS happens, but I do feel like the other two were necessary for me to truly love the car. Oh well. She's such a good vrooomy thing...

Weird to say a car can have too much power but F80 comp. had too much power and F87 comp fits just right with the higher end power. Keeping it

I would answer 1 if the CS hadn't materialised. Then again, at this point in time it hasn't materialised so 1 until it does.

While emotionally some past M cars speak to me more so...E46 M3, Z3 M Coupe, E39 M5...objectively the M2C is vastly better out of the gate, mine is 100% stock and I really don't see where it needs upgrades for fast canyon/mountain driving.

Absolutely love the car, plan to keep it a long time. BUT if I ever get the opportunity to snag a Gen V Viper or a 992.1 GT3, then the M2C will be replaced. Other than that, it's staying.

I voted in love with it and no plans to sell currently, but I do still think it's the best M car... and I had an E46 with a stick! Just wish it sounded like the E46.
Might upgrade to the next M2 eventually... or M3 with AWD for some more practicality in the winter, but I always do miss driving rwd/stick all year round. |

It's a great car. Everything I wanted and still want. One thing I wish was different, is I wish the height was lower. Was looking at the measurements of the c7 corvette last night and it's 0.9" wider, 0.9" longer, but 6" taller.
But that's what you get when you have a street car platform modified to be a sports car. While the corvette is a sports car from the beginning. Part of me wishes BMW would build a sports car from the ground up. Though, I admit, I wouldn't buy it because it would cost too much for me. Same as a corvette costs too much for me. |

And while you're in there, might as well put in the SSK and the UCP as well. You'll save on labor costs. The car just might feel a bit different. Just a bit... |

B58 TU with a tune will get to S55 level and you don't need to worry about spinning a crank hub. But if you're hardcore tracking then yeah S55 wins. B58 wins points for sound. Looks are a personal preference. Maybe you base your sport car purchases on the number of seats but I don't. |

I think the M2C F87 is (or will be soon) in the same league as the E46 M3 and E39 M5 as iconic, desirable and attainable cars.
Its lower in cost compared to its current M car siblings, has the same drivetrain as a couple and it looks amazing. I love this little thing. Only 12k-15k copies made per year as well?

I may sell mine in a few years. I love this car, however i've resigned myself to only ever owning two cars at once (i'm never selling my S2k if i can help it). I've owned 3 at once one time ago and it just felt like a waste of money.
That being said i think what will really sway my decision is how the car will act once it gets up in mileage. In Comparison, my S2k has 70k miles and drives as good as when my friend bought his brand new back in 2008. My dads X5d has 80k miles and only is now showing some age so if the M2 acts like that then i might just keep it. Who knows, i love so many cars, and maybe something will come out in the future that i just cant resist. |

Not the best M car of all time, but IMO definitely the best current M car on sale...
