Wheel Hub Paint coming off with minimal effort

Is this a common thing?
I know I can repaint them but how annoying.

I've got a high pressure washer but it's not caused by it because it's a fairly crap high pressure washer lol and when you look closely it's asif it's peeling off by itself.

What's the best way to re-paint these. Is there much heat on the hub?

Did you buy the car used? The hubs aren't painted from the factory

Just echoing what nioh said. The car doesn't come with painted rotor hats.

This is what stock looks like, at least on a 2020 M2C. (I took the picture mainly for the rotor but you can see a bit of the rotor hat).

Yeah it is used but was bought from BMW with their "BMW certified approved" thing which is meant to mean it's stock as a rock. I guess it wasn't that stock then lol.

It does look better with black paint. I might get the high-pressure washer in there to take it all off properly and then redo it with a heat resistant paint.
