Checking now if we can gain rights to a GTS hood for US production. I don't want to make a copy so we need approval.

The GTS hood is nice, but it is available already by multiple companies. Still holding out hope for a power dome only. The lines on your hoods shown are excellent.

Add another to the "Option A with no vents" group. However... I would be interested to see an Option A without the power dome, but with a GTS style vent. Just for research purposes

It would be better to just do a powerdome hood. You already have a gts hood. Paint options would be key.

Replica of the OEM M2 carbon fiber hood with no VENTS made out of aluminum or the material OEM hood that is not carbon fiber. Would be cheaper, for people who worry about weight unless you race the car, it doesnt matter except for bragging rights

Or an original hood in carbon hood would be nice. Weight savings without being too flashy.

I agree with karmic man, just do a gts style hood with single vent slit at front

The main thing the vent is well hidden, not an eyesore and it looks cool

The vents you have IND in the op, i woukdnt put them on, they dont look good with those big black vents

simple power dome, nothing else, made of aluminum

I am probably bias, I like a simple hood with a power dome like on my E46 M3, simple but looks very very good IMHO. Power dome on current M4 looks good and simple. The vents just distract, the vents do not add any aesthetic value, looks like a ricer, just more clutter.

I have a post similar to this one, looks like Nate is going to make a decision next week and let us know, see link

- A with no vents
- $2500 or less

There's no reason the hood should exceed $3k.

I agree but less than $1000-$1500 but instead of carbon fiber, made of aluminum or same material as the body panels. It will be much more affordable for everyone and keep the same look as other M cars, current and past. I have seen used BMW models with vented hoods, they do not age well IMO. Current replacement hood cost approx $450 not including shipping.

Could be something an adjustment could fix, or could be a defect in the panels.

Agree with most. Put out a GTS style (preferred personally) and or version A without the vents and you can have my money.

Bought plenty of stuff from you guys, so I know the quality will be there.

How would the price compare to the Lightweight version on your website? I love love love that hood but not at $4k+.

Garage List
The size of the proposed vents are too big IMO. You should follow the ethos of the M Perf. design, and then from there you could add in smaller vents that don't overpower the car. I would say something similar to the E9x-M3 hood placement of vents as well as their size. Maybe stretch the design vertically like the DB11 hood-vents, and it'll satisfy any craving for vents without going too far.
