Proud Owner of a new M2C

Ordered it last year in the summer and took delivery in Dec. Today, I finally had my 1200mi service. Yeah, I know not a lot of miles, but between the Winter Weather and COVID, it has made it difficult. Really excited to put some more miles on the car!

She is currently wearing Pirelli Winter 270 Sottozero 2s as I took delivery when there was snow on the ground and on the "good" days in the winter I still wanted to take her out. The OE tires are in storage. I ordered a new set of Apex wheels (Anthracite EC-7s) and summer tires (Michelin PS 4S). I am looking forward to mounting them as soon as they arrive.

Regarding the post 1200mi service feel, I know it has been discussed in multiple threads already, but I swear it feels different/better. Maybe it is simply the fact that I can now take advantage of more revs after babying it for so long.

Placebo effect, many have felt it. It doesn't exist. My car felt exactly the same before and after, but the love grows every day still. Enjoy the M2C, its a wonderful car! And good choice with the HS!

Congrats. I know it’s tough to put miles on in these conditions.. No rush and enjoy each mile as they happen.

Congrats! I had my break-in service done about a month ago at around 1000 miles and the car feels so much better when you can rev it past 5000.

As some have said, its very much a placebo effect. But a lot of it is because you dont realize how hard the car pulls after 5k. I think thats what i love so much. Normally with a turbo car, the power falls off at the higher RPM. But this car pulls hard all the way to redline. It feels a lot more freeing when you can finally lick that 7.5k rpm

Yup. The engine is everything thats best about modern turbocharging combined with everything that’s best from 90s turbocharging.

Thank you all for the messages. I have learned a lot from this community and hope someday I can also pay it forward and help others. In other news I just got word from @apexraceparts that my new wheels have been shipped. I cannot wait to mount them.

I've had my EC-7's/PS4S's on for a week now and I'm seriously pleased with the purchase. Congrats! What finish did you get?

I decided on the Anthracite finish to add a little contrast to the paint.

uptick in power after break in service or just placebo effect and no worries about super revving the car?

To get to feel the peak HP out of this car is between 5k to 6k RPM so you will feel the power prior shifting into next gear. Just my opinion

Here is the link to their website.

I am pretty sure there is also a thread here on the forum that discusses the different setups you can run on the M2 vs M2C.
