Love the M2C.... got impulsive and went out and tested the 2020 Mercedes C63s and just didnt like the feel. Sure the c63 was a lot more posh and has its ups, it just didnt feel like as much of a drivers car.

Sounds great Feels great to sit in SUCKS to hoon it in That was my impression on the test drive as well It's just soft, unresponsive, and kind of hard to see out of. So getting near the limit was really sketchy Just made me love the m2 more |

After a lot of good warm weather and driving the M2 over the weekend, I feel like its really getting even better as i approach 3k miles. Everything seems better, the sound, the shifts, the power delivery, the car just seems like a well oiled machine now. Makes sense as the parts get driven in and bedded. Really enjoying the evolving character of the M2C. Hard to explain, but it just seems to be getting better, or maybe I'm just getting used to it now.

Not unusual at all. I have yet to explore the M2C . . . you know the story. However, I can tell you my GTS continues to get better and better after 9 months, or so of ownership. As you suggest, I am not sure if the car itself is getting better, or it is my understanding and comfort of the car that is better? Probably a little of both. ///AVM |

After retiring in June of last year, I decided that I wasn't driving the long commutes any more, and a super luxury sports car (my 2018 Marina Bay Blue M5), was no longer a necessity. I switched to a 2020 G05 X5 40i as our family car and daily driver. I love the X5 tremendously, but could not get the performance car out of my mind. I longed for a smaller, yet fast and nimble alternative to the M5.
I had considered an M2 back in 2017, but decided to hold off, finally getting the M5 in 2018. For the model year 2020, I had heard nothing but good things about the M2 Competition, so decided to look into it. I searched the internet for weeks, finally finding a Hockenheim Silver with the Executive Pkg, M-DCT, Black 788 Style wheels and decked out with a number of M-Performance CF accessories (mirror caps, side winglets, rear spoiler). It was delivered last Thursday. I have put nearly 700 miles on the car over the weekend. This car is an absolute joy to drive. The M5 was insanely fast, and extremely luxurious. But, for being the entry level M-Car, this M2 is "money". 1. It is quick 2. It handles superbly. It is THE perfect size and looks super-aggressive. The wheels add a lot to the looks. 3. The exhaust (in Sport+ mode) sounds very good. Great sounding burbles and deep (not raspy) sounding pops. I was resigned to having to purchase an aftermarket exhaust (was looking at Remus), but don't think it will be necessary. I can use that money for a PPF wrap and vinyl wrapping the roof with 3M 1080 Film in Satin Black instead. 4. Gas mileage (highway) averaging 25 MPG. All around mileage seems to be around 19. Bottom line, I am extremely pleased with this vehicle. It may sound crazy to say, but I think this M2 is the most fun M-car I have owned, and I have owned an E92 M3, an F80 M3, and the F90 M5. They all had positive things going for them, but, for me, the M2 seems to have taken the best of their features, and rolled them into one. The only thing that discourages me is the stuff I am reading about the locked DME bootloader which hampers one's ability to apply a tune. Hopefully, they find a hassle-free workaround for that at some point.

I just realized the other day how I love that I get to do lower-back twist exercises every time I go for a drive and reach for my seat belt.
Usually accompanied by a short groan. |

This weekend i stretched the legs of my M2C a bit too. I'm approaching 1500 miles and i agreethe drive keeps getting better and better.
Theres a small strip of open road behind an abandoned parking structure near my place that i found. Taught the girlfriend how to drive manual and then i decided to see how fast i could do a 0-60. Holy cow this car flies. I had too much fun i forgot to time myself. Hard launching this car and hearing the tires squeal before taking off foot to the floor was breathtaking. I've never done a launch in a car this fast before and i really cant wait to take it to the track. I never drive like that when there are people around and so really being to feel the acceleration this car offers was a treat. |

I never remember to use that belt holding thing. Still not entirely convinced it's not just a random piece of plastic that they labeled post hoc |

Post Break In Update
so I just had the break in service completed and have now been able to fully experience the car and holy cow!
did my first full throttle on ramp yesterday and wow this thing pulls I get what they say about m engines even more now, the s55 just has this eager loves to rev character that draws you in (so why is the redline so hard to see ) I have done the same ramps with my 2016 cayman S and while the s55 doesn't sound as good, it does have a similar motorsports engine feel to it, and it is definitely quicker compared to the b58 in my m240i the s55 just feels much more race car and visceral than the b58 which feels kind of synthetic my love for this car has gone next level now and I look forward to the next drive even more what a car! |

My experience made me fall in love with the car.
I had my last scheduled free service in my f22 and as I was waiting for them to finish my service check I asked to test drive one of the cars in stock. Had no plans of changing cars but after I drove it, I went back and started negotiating. Ended up ordering a brand new one to my specs.

I loved Challengers so much that I've owned 5 over the last 7 years. I was so worried about trading my last one in this past Saturday..., would I like the M2? Hate it? Miss the Challenger?
I'm over all of that. It could still be the honeymoon, but this car is everything I thought it would be and more. I haven't had one second of regret or missing the Challenger. I fell in love with the M2 when they first came out, and kicked the tires a few times, but finally pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier. I am surprised that I don't miss the Challenger at all.

My most recent was a 392 T/A edition. Manual, of course. Loved the sound, etc, but I really love windy mountain roads, and that simply isn't its forte.
