Cargo net/rubber trunk mat question
Simple question:
If you have the cargo net installed (the one that fits into the six or so little slots), will the rubber trunk mat fit? Or, is it one or the other? I've never actually seen the rubber trunk mat, so I don't know if it has cutouts, etc or anything like that. I use the net, but would like the mat as well. TIA. R. |

I have the mat. There are no cutouts, although I supposed you could try to make them yourself. I never used the net, so I just put the mat on top of it. Didn't even bother removing it.

As noted above the cargo mat does not have provisions for the standard cargo net that attaches to the floor trim panel
BMW does offer a cargo net that attaches to the metal lashing eyes that can be used with the cargo mat BMW Luggage Compartment Floor Net 51-47-9-410-838 |

If you install a rubber mat isn't it to keep any fluid or debris from getting on the carpet?
My thought is if you cut a hole in the mat your defeating the purpose of the mat... |

I got the Weathertech trunk mat and it has specific areas that can be cut out to accommodate the net. A few cuts with a sharp blade and all is well!
