That would be a great surprise and lower than expected. Would be a hell of a bargain at 11k cheaper than the M3. Hell that F80 would be my e36 M3 and M2 combined

Wished they would have done an M2GC haha. Still lots of questions to be answered which I'm sure will take months. But I'm just happy to finally see the car in full

I think it was $46K [base] so 5K more is not as high as expected.

Wow, $51K base would be fantastic, but I won't get my hopes up until they officially announce it.

Why? Like I said since day 1, they can't go too damn far away from their competitors. CLA45AMG starts at $48.5K, and that comes with DCT standard.

I've said since day one that it'll be low 50s. But I was thinking more like $53k

I've been saying more than 52 but less than 55. I am still guessing in that range with destination.

A lower price almost scares me more - like its confirmation the car won't be as good as we are hoping.

On the contrary. Like I said, Benz starts at 48k. You add DCT to that $51k base and you are looking at 54k. And that's still without adding options (assuming there are any). Not what I'd call cheap, but certainly makes you wonder why you'd buy an M235i/240i at this point.

Good for us guys that want strippers though

There's 0 reason to get a 235/240 at that point.

Unless you're down for squishy and small wheels.

If it's only 50k....I wonder if I can swing one for a garage mate next to my 981.
