U.S. M2 prodcution status 150: Estimated completion: February 3rd.

So I found out yesterday that my 2016 M2 was actually already being built when I accepted the deal. It's been at status 150 for a few days.

I posted about it in another thread, and someone commented that status 150 does not necessarily mean the the vehicle is currently physically being built.

So I called BMW, and to my surprise, they said that the car is being currently built, and scheduled to be completed on February 3rd.

Maybe I'm more excited than I should be, but I'm really hoping I get my car by late April. Maybe I'll get it even earlier. I know most people are still at status 112, so perhaps mine is one of the first for the U.S.

Regardless, I'm extremely excited and can't wait for delivery. Anyone have any thoughts/comments on when they think the car will arrive here?

Cheers!

My brother always found out what port the car would leave from, and where it would arrive. Then he'd look up shipping schedules for the usual transport and see what dates the car would likely be leaving so you can get a sense of possible dates of arrival.

I haven't ever put that much effort in, but you certainly can with some investigating.

I'm in the same boat on the 29th tho. What I heard is sometimes it has an extended time in port due to customs stuff. But nothing confirmed forsure. I think it will be a little before April or the Begin of april at the latest. I'm just so glad I lucked out on a hea car with the exact set up I want

I'm so excited for you! It would be fitting for you to be the first or one of the first to take delivery, given your dedication to the M2. Are you doing PCD?

It is strange that it takes 4 weeks from production to delivery for us too and the car just has to travel 600 miles north...

My SM told me mine was in 150 status too. He seems to think it will arrive at dealer before April. He also said it is about a month wait after completion. What port do they ship to?

I am not sure what port just yet, but most likely the California one.

I just called them again, and they said the best possible date was late February! And the latest would be mid to late March!

So this is great news. Hopefully it arrives prior to March

I'm in the same boat as you but I haven't called them. I'm at a 190 now that seems super quick for our cars to get here. From what I heard they don't know how long it is in port due to customs shit. Was all this info from your dealer? I haven't taken the time to call mine cuz he sends me an email with every status update.

Oh, its definitely a very rough estimate. The most likely case is late March I'd say he said they'd know more once my car is finished being built. I talked talked to customer service at BMWNA

I saw you ended up going with the other color set up and not lbb. What were your thoughts about it in person since you went and saw it a bunch. That's what I ordered.

Yeah how would that work when the press wouldn't have a chance to provide a hands-on review?
