Muffler

I realize the exposed muffler on the M2C is designed to be part of the cars aero, but it is ugly!!

Any way to cover it up or “disguise” it? Perhaps spray paint it with high heat paint?

Any good suggestions out there?

Thx!

I've seen many members just painting it flat black, hi temp paint. It hides it very nicely.

Most people spray paint it black. Make sure you use a heat resistant paint like for a BBQ.

I got mine painted exactly like DanG and K have mentioned. Can't even notice it anymore.

Excellent! Thank you! There’s my project for the weekend.

So with high heat paint, it won’t start flaking off?

Thanks again!

Do a search, you'll find extensive discussion, photos, the works. Find the high temp paint that doesn't need heat to cure it - most header/BBQ paints need to get hotter longer than a muffler will manage, so they won't cure properly (but lots of people have very good looking results with them anyway, just DK if it lasts).

I left mine alone cuz it does not bother me but I have a can of paint here cuz thought about painting it. Definitely do good prep and most likely won't fake off, bad prep it probably will. Also I have read ppl that track cars and started to flake, if you heat it up there is a chance, for a daily go around car prob won't flake off.
