Any reviews on the CSF DCT trans cooler?

Hi

I track my car (1~2x per month) and I was wondering if this mod would be beneficial.
Any feedback is welcome.

Thank you

PS: Stock tune on stock turbos for the track

If you're fully stock in terms of power then it shouldn't be needed save your money for an intercooler.

If you decide to run a DCT trans cooler, then take this as you will:

I run a CSF radiator and the fitment is garbage - this was before I found out that do88 carries cooling parts for the F87.

Definitely go for the do88 since the pricing is similar:

Dang that is the first time I ever heard that, what was wrong with fitment?

Haven’t had any issues with fitment with the CSF (been running it for 3yrs), but it’s tight with the Evo3 on the car.

Looks like the do88 would be tight too with the Evo3.

Tight like what ZM2 mentioned due to the Evo 3 fmic, but at least for me the fan doesn't mount correctly. All sorts of maneuvering was done, but to no avail.

I will eventually purchase the do88 to hopefully fix it because looking at that fitment bothers me.

Hmm, I don’t have that issue. Seems like your issue would be more about radiator fitment. Is yours stock?

I’m running the CSF rad & DCT cooler (and oil cooler), with the do88 aux rad.

Yep, just the CSF radiator so not stock.

If their DCT and oil cooler fit well for you then OP shouldn't be worried. I was just providing my experience with a CSF product and letting them know that do88 exists at similar pricing.

I will say that the CSF radiator, CSF DCT cooler, and Evo3 IC are crazy tight on my car. Everyone thinks stock M2 packaging is tight, try fitting all those on your car. It’s nuts!

Definitely not ideal from a cooling system packaging perspective, esp when you compare it to rear engine cars that have coolers upfront or vice versa.

Oh, and to clear up my CSF rad fitment comments, check this out from back in the day: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&highlight=CSF

Seems like a lifetime ago, and we have the same rad fitment issue.

That explains a lot. Do you have any photos with the spacers installed?

I’ll try to get some pics this weekend. I’ll also see if that gap is still there and if maybe I should try to seal it up!

Wow I didn't know there was another cooler.
I thought CSF was the only choice. Thanks!
