Lowering with spacers...
Hi,
Just looking for advice from anyone thats lowered their M2C and used wheel spacers. I am looking at the 20/25mm lowering kits but for the wheel spacers there are 13mm, 16mm and 20mm options, what have you used or which spacing would you recommend? Thanks in advance |

Normal drop is to 595/600. Some guys run a little lower at 590/595. Rare that anyone runs under 590/595. In all lowering cases, with stock wheels and stock sized tires the standard is 12 front, 10 rear spacers for a great flush fit with no rubbing. However, I have seen some guys get away with 12/12, 15/12, 15/15 with minimal rubbing. The biggest thing to consider is the tread width of the tire you are running, and plan to run in the future. 15mm up front rubbed for me with the stock PSS (a wide running tire), but didn't rub when I got the same size (but in fact, skinnier) PS4S. A safe rule of thumb is 12/10, and if you can't get that then I'd look elsewhere for your spacers. You might browse a bit through this thread: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1251250 |

nice video, good to see how its going to look now i have ordered up the parts. its also convinced me on the M sport splitter and rear lip spoiler. I was originally going to wait to save the money for the full kit but it doesnt look like it needs it all right away to look good.

I have an m2c with 20mm eibach Pro springs and 12mm spacers. On standard 788 wheels you get the tiniest of rubbing up front on full lock. That's it. I wouldn't want to run more than 12mm all round. Looks and drives fine though.

Remember that the stock 245 PSS runs WIDE, so the 255 PS4S is almost identical in terms of tw. Beyond that, you're going 2mm inside the common 12mm front spacer, so I'd bet you'd be fine, and even if you did rub it'd be super minimal and not damaging. |

I will then decide on going different size. Will be doing this in about 3 months and let you know/post pics.

I’m curious why everyone seems to opt for 12/10 rather than 10/10? I’m thinking of adding spacers to the following setup:
255/35/19, 275/35/19, Bilstien B16 with -2.5 camber. I’m guessing with the camber, 12 at front will look more ‘balanced’… |
