M2 Bucket seat for 3 point belt

I was going to do my suspension for the next track season but I still need some more seat time to where I can benefit from new suspension but I am thinking of getting a bucket seat. I hate the OEM seats, I am sliding around like crazy, specially being a bigger dude. So I am thinking of doing bucket seat and track brake pads and leave suspension for 2024.

I want to eventually cage the car but that won't come till after suspension so also probably 2024 so need to find a good bucket seat that will be good with 3 point belt.

Also as I mentioned I am a big dude (240lbs) so pole positions are a no go. I want something nice but also not crazy expensive. Say $1000 more or less. Would like to do the brei krausse rails that keep the power buttons maybe.

Cobra Nogaro would be a good choice. (if they fit)
Works with 3 pt without holes in the side bolster.
Plus will work with 4/6 pt harness when you get the half cage.

i have a set on the way myself and plan to use 3pt for street & 6pt for track

I will look into them more. Are they bolstered enough? They just don't look it compared to say pole positions. But I need to look into them more because they do seem to fit the bill and I think they are about in the $1000 mark.

What rails are you going with?

Sparco EVO QRT may be an option since they come in various sizes.

I agree they are definitely not hard core buckets.
I've done that before with Cobra Evo's and the were amazing on track but horrible for street.
The Evo's are also available in 2 sizes.

I'm bolting them in with floor plates to get them as low as possible.
BK has mounts specific for Nogara that give you the power slide option.

I wonder how safe they are to use with 3 point belts though.

I don’t drive the car on the street too much so I can deal with the annoyance. Still want it to be safe on the street though so I know some buckets are out of question with the 3 point belt. I will check the evo though

Don’t see why it wouldn’t be safe.

Cobra nagaros is what you seek.

Safe to use with factory 3 point and a good compromise between street and track.

The belt would have to be ran through the hole? But probably would never be able to be in the appropriate position? This is from what I read, like its better than running it outside the seat but even if you get the receiver through the hole still not optimal

Yeah it might be the one. How goos is it in holding you? I mean I bet is night and day from oem so would be a huge improvement but just want to make sure I am missing out going with a deeper bucket.

I guess I never sat in a proper bucket so I should do that but I did seat and drive the g80 buckets and they felt amazing on track so these probably be similar (not overly agressive)

I have Cobra Nagaro seats in my M2c, they fit tight on the hips and really give you a real feel for how the car chassis is moving.

I have Cobra Nogaros in my M2 & Recaro Pole positions in my RS275 (oem fitted).
The Nogaros are definitely the ideal choice for a dual purpose car as they are better designed for use with a 3 point belt when on road, plus they hold you just as well as the Pole Positions do when on track.
Other benefits are Cobra will customize them (they used the oem BMW leather & blue stitching on mine), plus there is the excellent Brey Krause M2/Nogaro specific fitting kit available. Mine use the oem electric slides & I fitted electric lumbar support also.
Neither of them are a cheap option but like everything, you get what you pay for & seats aren’t something to skimp on imo.

I think this settles it, I will probably look for a cobra nogaro soon. I am just doing 1 for now because I don’t think my wife would like to sit on one for the few times we take the car, and no seat heating I won’t hear the end of it.

As far as price, yea they are a bit more than my $1000 budget but I can swing it. Will probably get vinyl though with dynamica middle maybe

When we’ve taken the M2 away interstate (4-6 hours away) my wife has not complained (surprisingly), she takes a small cushion with her for added seat comfort on long journeys (not needed imo).
The company that supplied my lumbar kit (Rostra) also do a seat heating kit. Easy to install & good quality.

I'll have to look into that....
Does the kit work with the sub-strap cut out?

Also went with Cobra Nogaros black amalfi and grey alcantara with polar blue stitching.

I used BK mounting kit and had cobra fit oem seat heating elements it’s pretty easy just remove seat module and then code them in.

I was tempted to get m rain fabric for the centres but thought it wouldn’t go with the polar blue stitching.

That would have been cool but I prefer what you went with. Also like that there is no cobra logo

For those with the Nogaros on electric sliders, are you able to retain the memory seating position (fore-after only, of course) functionality?

yeah it does not look like you can retain that, the only buttons on the sliders and forward and backwards, its a switch from an E30 window control. Not a big deal for me since only I drive the car.
