First mods for my M2C?
Hello everyone, I’m pleased to say I will be picking up a new to me 1 of 60 manual F87 M2 Competition Special Content Package. I was wondering what everyone suggests for first mods? Right now I’m thinking of getting an oil cooler guard but not sure what else I should pick up in the process. (So many choices haha) I plan on using this car as a weekend fun car and eventually tracking it in the future. Attached is the only photos I currently had on my phone.

Congratulations. Looks like you already have some mods on there from what I can see (paint matched front reflectors). Not sure what else may have been done by the previous owner. Front lip and rear spoiler in carbon fibre? They go well with the wheels you have. New exhaust and suspension? My biggest recommendation is coding to customize some features the way you want to personalize like full screen Apple Carplay.

Congrats and welcome to the club man!
Personally, I think a CS-style front lip and rear spoiler would look sick with your spec. I would probably remove the side skirts and either switch them out for the OEM winglet style or just remove them altogether, same thing with the mud flaps, those belong on a truck lol Other than that, I would probably just lower it a little. You already got the 763Ms and painted reflectors which look great! |

Coming up on 3 years of owning the Active Autowere Equal Length midpipe (with stock muffler and downpipes). I still love it and recommend it.

Congrats! I also have a special content edition. As others have said for sure do coding (car play, seat belt chimes, disclaimers etc). And just drive the car for now and see what you like. I did put on the cs rear spoiler, I think it enhances the car. Good luck and enjoy!

Congrats! Aesthetic mods absolutely get at it. Performance oriented I would drive it a bit and have the experience guide the decision. Lots of greats upgrades but the car is also pretty great out of the box. If/when that time comes could see a shifter being one of the priorities. Suspension I feel is the best money spent on the platform. Tuning, sound, so many options would just see how the car feels and go from there.

Congrats, you'll love it right 'out of the box'.
Zunsport grills were my first mod, very worthwhile. And a good radar detector. |

My car came with all the M Performance exterior carbon on it and 763M Frozen Gold Wheels along with Remus exhaust. I decided to remove all this and fit stock smoked 788m wheels. I did paint the M Performance carbon spoiler in body colour. I think they look great standard. In the end I went for a more road based setup with occasional track day, the roads here are really bad so went with something on the softer side. I tried various things, however if I was to do it again I'd do it in this order:
Coilovers + Front Camber Plates + Rear Toe Arms (I don't run these as I run 2mm rear toe on standard arms) Front Tension Strut Bushes Aggressive Alignment Brakes (Either Pad + Lines + Fluids) or that + AP front kit Bucket Seat (I run Cobra Nogaro) CAE Ultra Shifter Exhaust Mods (I run Equal Length Mid pipe) Remap I ended up with that but not in that order. These cars are mega, so much fun. Enjoy! |

Not sure what's included with the Special Content version, but a really simple and inexpensive mod that I did on Day 1 was to install the M Performance Stainless Pedal Covers. Three years later, I still see them every time I open the door and love the look.

Hey everyone, I ended up getting the car home and cleaning it up a couple days ago. I took of the mud flaps and the side skirts aswell. Here as some pictures in my garage. I’ll have more to post soon. I have read everyone’s comments and can’t thank you all enough for your great suggestions! The car comes with gloss black 763 m wheels I was wondering what everyone thought about going to a silver or possibly gold similar to the cs. I have attached photos of both below aswell.
