I use this as my reference for doc fees: http://www.realcartips.com/newcars/4...by-state.shtml

And you negotiate from the MSRP. So you have plenty of lead way and should not pay what you see. Just give you some context, I negotiated two M2Cs. The first one had an MSRP of $63.5K. I was able to get them down to $59,500 OTD (this is the number you write as a check). This equates to about 11% off.

The second deal I got 7.5% off MSRP, OTD came out to be around 7%

In the end, I would shot for 5-10% off OTD, depending on market, configuration and vehicle age on lot.

Yep to share my recent experience on the discounted car above, I scoffed at their 799 doc fee, and told them I wouldn't pay more than 400. Instead of agreeing to that, they credited the entire 799 onto my trade..., which was high KBB to begin with.

People should also watch this.

This was exactly my experience. Just secured a 2021 order for under $60k out the door. With the dealership fees omitted, that equated to a vehicle price of just under $55k, and local taxes and fees of about 6.5%. Given the warranty and maintenance that’s included, it’s a much better deal than buying used with a few thousand miles for the same price.

Looks like there are still deals to be had! Sounds like everyone should be shooting for at least 10% off.

My CA has 3 more allocations for 2021 M2 Competition. You can custom configure if you order soon.

If you're thinking about pulling the trigger, feel free to send me a message.

Somewhat tangential to this thread, but on my production number, the vehicle specs for my 2021 list the M performance brakes with blue calipers. Please tell me they changed from silver to blue for MY 2021. Anyone else hear about this or is this an error on the production page?

That’s disappointing. I was really hoping that they’d be blue, but oh well.

Hey fellas. I sold my 1M back in 2015 and now looking to get into an M2. Sounds like some good deals out there, so I’m also interested in any leads you guys have on a 2021 allocation. I kinda secured one fairly local to me in VA at 7% off msrp, but looks like there’s a bit more room. Damn, should I renegotiate? Lol. Any help is appreciated. Thank you, Mike.

Managed to get an M2 Competition custom spec to how I like it for 14% off. RRP £58,045 and I knocked them down to £50,000. Delivery expected September 1st. Can't wait!

Huminawha?

US Spec come with only a single brake option. The EU has a different set of options (which is why you can run an 18" wheel on a european M2C if you get the smaller brakes. The US already gets the "big" brakes-- that's why you need to run 19" wheels.)

Hi all -
I live in the DMV area, went to BMW of Alexandria to test drive the only manual M2C they had. They told me they had a new 2021 M2C manual coming in, however the salesperson I was talking to said that "there are no discounts at all on it because it is MY2021."
Has anyone heard the same, is that totally ridiculous?

My CA was able to offer a discount and has additional allocations that can be customized. Mine is a 2021 produced 7/3 and on a ship now.

Pre Covid, the target discount to aim for was ~10%. The last couple of months when there were supply constraints, the average discount was ~5%. Now that supply is adequately coming through, I would adjust between those two figures. YMMV

But don't let anyone tell you there is no discount on a M2C...it's not a "special" or "LE" vehicle.

Also, regarding BMW of Alexandria, back in March they had 4 M2C sitting idle on lots. They were some of the best in terms of discounts, back during that time

If i walk into a BMW dealer asking to pay $60k out the door price (Seattle has a 10% sales tax essentially) for a 2020 M2 Comp with executive package and DCT, would i get laugh out the door?

First of all, who cares if they laugh you out the door? You're the consumer, you have choices and do not have to buy from them. There are hundreds of BMW dealers across the nation and car purchases nowadays are not only relegated to your local dealerships.

With that said, the Seattle market does not offer as great of an incentive as other markets. Best thing that could happen if you make it known that you're a serious buyer, the dealer may counter with 5%.

As stated in some previous posts, I would shop around with minimal effort to me. Which means through email. I no longer walk into a dealership to negotiate. Everything is done prior and when I walk in, it's to sign my paperwork. But again these days, that can also be done online.
