My SA is on vacation but responded to my email letting me know he received confirmation the base price is $61,900 plus freight and PDI. Can any of you who already placed your order confirm it is $61K and not $61.9K? Is this just a dealer markup?

Prices, confirmed, are in the attached documents above. $61,000 + $895 for a metallic color would equal the $61,895. They built in a $5 markup.

How big is your dealer? I was told dealers were getting 2-4 cars each with maybe the large dealers potentially getting more. If I were you, I'd be pushing the dealer!!! or... find one where you are higher on the list

Budds is pretty big... wouldn't surprise me if they have enough allocations. The only downside might be timing in terms of when they can actually get the 5th one built. It might be a while after production starts.

I just received an email from the GM/owner at my BMW dealer and I am on top of the list for a BMW M2 allocation. Since allocation are not clearly defined yet, I can't proceed with the order, but he reassured me I will be getting one.

congrats guys this is exciting, hopefully i will be placing the order tomorrow provided i can get off work early enough and that i can be assured a February production spot (i waited long enough!!) and i do think its better when you don't have to go crazy deciding on different options...the more i think about it this price is a killer deal..its basically only 9K more than an M235i since the premium and navi packages cost 7K extra..i almost bought an M235 last year, id be kicking myself if i did and id do even more kicking if i dropped 60K on the special edition

And it is in Ontario. It is even worst in Quebec. Here we pay a 15% sales tax.

So, instead of $8,507.10 for the sales tax it would be $9,815.88

Here a $61,000 M2 plus $3,900 for DCT end up to be a $79,000 car with everything counted.

In the USA you pay less for the car and when you have sales tax (some states have it) the rate is smaller than ours. And to complete the picture, you pay way less than us in income tax. But, don't catch a grave illness in USA... Nothing is perfect after all !
