Can you provide some information on the minimum hardware needs for this to work? I cannot find it on your website, I am a Mac guy so I would have to buy something PC to make this work and want to make sure I buy the right stuff if I am going to drop the cash for your tune.

Thanks

"Parallels" and "VirtualBox" are the top two software options
to run Windows 8/10 on your MAC.

Most cost effective route would be to use the bootcamp utility already built into your Mac and install windows with either the retail version or systems builder. Then you’ll be able to choose which OS to boot up in. That’s how I have it on my Mac and it works flawlessly. Or if you wanted to run windows WHILE you’re running macOS you can get the software that VF Engineering recommended, that’s an additional cost however.

I will do a full review following the tune..
Also they offer a full 30 Day Money Back Guarantee from the day you receive your tune.. Can't beat that!!
Hmmm sounds interesting. Don't think I would do something like this until I am out of warranty but it sounds like this might be a good path to consider when I'm ready.

Last days to take advantage of the Holiday Special!
Use the Discount Code "bimmerpost" when checking out.

Also keep in mind that the 30-Day Money Back Guarantee
starts from the day you receive your Tuned/Performance files.

That means you can order now to take advantage of the sale and
the clock does not start ticking until you are actually enjoying the
software on your vehicle!

Not a fan of running anything windows on my mac so I will just buy a cheap windows machine. I am guessing just about any windows 8/10 machine will be fine, correct?

Any chance you’re still running the holiday special? I just took delivery of a 2018 M2 last week, and would like to pick up the stage 1 package to install after my first service at BMW.

Just ordered stage 1. Only have ~180 miles on my M2... I think I’m gonna wait till after the 1,200 mile service to flash the ECU.

At what mileage do you guys recommend flashing the car? Do you recommend waiting until after the first service, etc.?

Finally flashed mine, but with over 12 inches of fresh powder it will be a while before I can test it out. At least the car started after the flash. For now it's my 91 325iX and me against the elements!

Any solid updates from end users? Also have they made it reverse flashable like the others are doing for dealership visits?

Best days of year for dyno. Are you planning to or have you already done so?

Is Flash Counter Bypass a means to prevent BMW from detecting the tune? I recall older ECU such as the one on my Scirocco R have only got a flash counter as the way for VW to detect ECU flashes. Not saying if the software is different at time of service they can't see it, but if you flash it back to stock image PRIOR to service, the flash counter was the only way they new. That was before they moved to Md5 and then encrypted ECUs.

Does the M2 ECU only use flash counter? If so this bypass is a very important development.

(Disclaimer: All my info above is anecdotal from mechanics)

Absolutely not.

Any anyone who tells you otherwise (especially a "tuner") is being
misleading and irresponsible.

We've discussed it before in other threads, but if anyones primary
concern when deciding "to tune, or not to tune" is based on warranty
preservation, the best possible advice is not to tune.

As much as we'd love to have everyone as a potential customer, there
is a right way and a wrong way to properly set customers expectations.
