TPMS malfunction
Hi all,
I just swapped over to my winter wheels/tires which have their own TPMS installed. After install I tried to reset the sensors, but it never got past 0% and then gave me a malfunction notice saying the car couldn't communicate with the sensors. This is my 4th winter on this set and every swap back and forth before I was able to reset and see the temp/pressure no problem. Also, within the last few days I'd checked the readout on my summer set and no issues there. Is this likely a sensor gone bad? Would that cause all 4 not to read? If so, how can I tell which sensor(s) are bad? |

Generally one will die/malfunction but not all, but it could be that the set needs to be replaced, but seems too soon (4 years).

Yeah it seems that the most likely problem is that one died, but I thought it was a short lifespan too. I also didn't know if one dead one would cause them all to be unreadable. Guess I just have to get it checked out to be sure.
