Suggestions to stop seat seam from splitting

Hi there, a seam at the top of my rear seat is starting to split (see picture).

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to stop the seam from splitting any further (without a full upholstery redo)?

Wow, thats a unique area to split!

I think an upholstery shop could do a quick fix just on the damaged part. You can just sew it in place with pretty good results as well.

Edit: even the seam next to it is starting to spread! Weird!
