Is there any information about how the US base model is configured at the $51,700 base price? What options would be available to add and at what cost? I haven't been able to find that info.

I bet these new M sport and M models handle and PERFORM better than your E91 ...

If you are simply concerned about looks MORE than PERFORMANCE then it sounds like a personal problem.. ??

Less is more!

The DCT's 4.1 seconds 0 to 60 mph is impressive. However, since I don't live my life a tenth of a second at a time, I'll stick with the manual tranny.

The builder isn't working? Anyone have spec sheets or official options list and pricing?

I did not say anything about performance or longevity of the suspension. This has nothing to do with what I said in the first place. Why are you even bringing this up, I have no clue, and you are the one who has a personal problem.

Chill out.

P.S.: If I were concered only about looks, the 135i would not have got adjustable KW coilovers and M3 bushings on they way to be delivered.

So for around 53k one can buy a tweaked 2 series or a base Cayman...

Or for around 63k a loaded tweaked 2 series or a base Cayman S (Top Gear pontificated in 2013 if Cayman S was the best sports car in the world)

I know the answer for me, tweaked 2 series of course! 'Cause I'm a fanboi

Has anyone else noticed that there is a "Build Your Own" option on BMW's homepage under the M2, but there is no configurator for the it as of yet?

The 4.1s time seems a little subjective. Tenths of a second come down to traction and the driver in his ability to have a good launch.

I tried every combination model code I could think of... hasn't leaked yet.
http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...modelcode=xxxx

The above is the URL with NAmodelCode most likely being something like 162x to mean MY 2016 2 series and some arbitrary number.

that cayman would be missing so much stuff it would pretty bad.

i think the base stereo is like a 2 channel 40w system. as much as i like driving a car, i'd still have to live with it...

personally think the first cayman that is sort of cheap and a decent value is the cayman/boxster black (sadly can't get the S with that bundle) since it bundles a lot for cheap. like $60k vs $52k

I think I could say that I do understand because I'm a 22 year old completely obsessed with the brand ever since I purchased my first BMW back in April of 2015. I ended up going with a 2015 F36 because I felt it was the best comprise of style and utility for my needs. I was looking at everything even used E46, E90s, and a couple CPO F90's. I couldn't see spending the extra doe for the little extra performance that would be irresponsible to use on the streets. Anyways I always said that if anything I would go ahead pull the trigger on an M2 within a year or two of its release. Now I can't wait. I hope I can test drive this puppy on a press day or something.

In car magazines, yes. On the street, from time to time.

What will ED msrp be for this car??

52,700 is msrp with destination.

So ED MSRP is $50,065?

So about 54k out the door for me.
