How to track after ED

Took delivery last week and now when I log into myBMW it doesn't allow me to track the vehicle anymore. It will also be going to Brunswick so hopefully doesn't get delayed that much. Any info would be appreciated

I followed up with the company I dropped the car off with about a week after dropping it off and they were able to provide the name of the car carrier vessel my car would be assigned to and it’s date of departure so I could track the ship.

I was about to comment and tell you to do exactly this. Now just set something up on FleetMon and you can track it across the ocean. I have it set up to give me a position report twice a day and notification when it gets to any new port.

I may have a better idea. Can you setup BMW Connected app while on your ED trip? That will let you track your car in real time on your phone.

No. ConnectedDrive services are disabled in Europe as the network their uses different infrastructure/protocols than in the US.

It used to be that you could connect to the car via USB while on ED and open the connected app and when your car hit port here and you could see where it was. But on my last ED a few weeks ago my connected app wouldn't even recognize the car even through USB.

Ok, so I dropped the vehicle off on September 13th and when I emailed the drop off location they were not able to give me any information. I tried calling Wallenius Wilhelmsen directly and they told me they will not be able to search without a Lading Number or Booking number which I do not have. If anyone can help me find a way to find out where my car is I would greatly appreciate it! This is torture.

How soon did you call them after drop off? You will have to give them a week or so before they can provide a landing number.

One more thing. The WW customer service are able to give you a status by looking up the VIN. They are not supposed to but you may get lucky depending on the rep you talk to.

When I emailed the drop off location this is what I received back.

"Hello Chris

Your car was picked up on Wednesday.

Please be informed that we are just providing the drop off of your car and do not have pick up or shuttle service, as well as we are not involved with the shipping part of your car. Therefore we have absolutely no information about when and how your car will be shipped and can not give you any reply to such questions."

Did you try calling the BMW ED Department and asking them? Their number was in your confirmation email. Call them, tell them your production number, and they will tell you boat, schedule, ETA, etc. I have done this every ED without fail.
