Looking for M2C in Chicago
Looking to purchase a M2C in Chicago. No dealers nearby have one in stock in stock with my specs (Long Beach Blue, exec pkg, DCT, sunroof, black 788 wheels).
Dealer close to home has an allocation to order a car but I would rather not wait since there are about 4-5 in the US that meet my specs. Dealer said they would try to get a car from another dealer but it's been 2 weeks now and nothing has happened. Should I just reach out to the out of state dealers and have them ship a car to me? I've never done that before. Anything to look out for? |

Do you have a trade ?
I would just shop it out of state. My story would be i can place a custom order with my local dealer for x price but would prefer to enjoy the car now. I am willing to buy your car today for ______.00. I have driven from PA to Chicago back with a new car but that is my personal limit. Anything further is probably better to just ship he the car. The only thing is that if you are doing paint protection film you would probably want to use something like track wrap or have it shipped enclosed. |

I live in Chicago and couldn't find a my spec M2 (Grey, DCT, 18 only) anywhere. Ended up going out of state and having the vehicle shipped.
PM me if you want some advice, I learned a lot about PPIs & Shipping that would help me if I bought out of state again. |

I forgot to mention that the bmw rate for the region is super high here this month. You are better off with some east cost stores .
2.99 vs 5.75 here. That could be bargaining chip to buy out of state orrrrrrr Motivation to just order what you want let it take a while and hope the rates get better. |

Found a car with the specs I wanted in North Carolina. Dealer is offering 2.9% financing which just ended July 31 in Chicago. Just need to arrange for shipping to Chicago. Don’t really have the time to drive it back home.
I have heard that Intercity Lines is good. Any other enclosed carriers that are recommended? Last edited by cb804; 08-03-2019 at 06:15 AM.. |

Look up Peluzzo Exotic Transport. They are a white glove operator who only haul two cars at a time. Their price for hauling my 928 from PA to GA was the same as the big haulers, but you don’t have the risk of frequent loading and unloading. You can find them on instagram.

Yea but I was asking if you could have gotten any discounts from Chicago? You mentioned your local dealership has a LBB on order (Bill Jacob? They do have a LBB DCT in transit). Just wondering if you have talked about pricing with them and if they offered you any discounts.
