Valvetrain noise?

Good morning, all.
Just a quick question on the S55 engine: does it have valvetrain noise in certain RPM range?

Took delivery a week ago and as I was driving on the freeway last night, I noticed a faint but noticeable noise that can be best described as rattle-like valvetrain noise?
It happens around 3,500- 3,800rpm under light throttle(cruising speed) and it’s very reproducible.

Engine runs really smooth but this small noise got me worried if it’s something critical.
Will be taking in the car for break-in service soon, but wanted to hear y’all’s opinion before going in.
Thanks in advance!

I haven’t noticed the noise you’ve described, but I’ll try to listen for it next time.

Thanks for the feedback.
I’m worried it might be on mine only.. and that can’t be a good thing.

I haven't noticed that either. Check your oil level. I assume you haven't been in for the 1200 miles service since you just got it.

Well, the oil level shows ok on the idrive menu. I assume there’s no physical dip stick?
Anyways, the earliest appointment available was next Wednesday.
Will have to wait and see what they say.

I would say that's not normal.
