I'm from Charlotte. Only other M2C I have seen around here was a HS DCT at Cars and Coffee earlier this month, have yet to see a 2nd M2C, let alone SO. Where you from?

I've seen one HS (of course) M2C on Independence near I-485 in Matthews. I also caught a glimpse of a LBB M2 on Harris near I-85. I see an AW M2 parked in an uptown hotel garage everyday and I've seen M2Ghost bouncing around a couple times. Last edited by silverds; 10-23-2019 at 08:31 PM.. |

Wilmington. Funny, the only other Comp I see here is a HS DCT which is usually at our Cars and Coffee.

HS and DCT are apparently extremely common. The one I saw had just been picked up from the SC plant, and he was on his way back to GA, so I doubt I'll see him again. |

Dark picture here, but thought it looked sinister. One of my favorite pictures I have snagged of the M.

I have to say, I am a blue or silver color car person and I was in love with the LBB color until I started reading this thread. This SO has got me going nuts! I never thought I would like an orange car. It is like an orange/copper blend and I think it is absolutely beautiful on this car. I am trying to finish up buying the wife's new car in the next few weeks and then I am going to see if I can acquire a 2020 M2 in SO. Anyone regret getting the SO? Does it get old?

Beautiful. Nice photo. This is definitely the color I am going to order. I find myself constantly opening this thread at work and scrolling through the photos. :-) I think I am obsessed. I may end up jobless and not able to get one. lol

Plus, I like the extra "warmth" of the interior with the orange stitching compared with the blue stitching.

I suggest you go see all of the colors in person. I was also a big fan of SO until I saw it in person and I was ... less than impressed. This is not to put down SO owners at all, I'm just saying color is a highly personal choice and photos sometimes struggle to capture the true color of a car.

I saw it at the Seattle Auto Show and went-- "Whoa-- love it!" And my wife loves the color as well-- that certainly didn't hurt the "Can I get the car, honey?" campaign. LBB was a close second, but my wife was pretty adamant that if I got the car, I got it in SOM. My 2005 Honda Element (one of about 2% made with a MT) is Sunset Orange Pearl, so I guess orange cars are a trend for me. R. |

Unfortunately, there are only 3 dealers around my area and the nearest one is 1.5 hour drive. The 2 further dealers each have one M2 in stock and both are HS. So I will have to throw it in the wind and hope I am happy. I will most likely be ordering it blind. I am pretty sure I will like it with any color other than black. I will never own a black car again. Way to hard to keep clean. IMHO.

There is a reason it is called Sunset Orange. When the sun starts to go down, it has one of the most amazing hues I have seen on a color... almost turns to a Cherry Red.
When I go to my car after work, I am blown away at how different it looks at night compared to the morning. (It does help I live in the Las Vegas area, and we get contrasts of extremely bright sun to compete dark. ) And just before sunset, you get shades of a really nice copper. I believe it is the most dynamic color on the M2 as ChrisK alluded to, and the most underrated. I like it more than the Sapphire Blue I had on my GT4. |

I contacted my closest dealer and they did a search for my options and color choices. The LBB was the only one that returned, like literally one match, so rather than order and wait I am taking it. I will keep an eye out for a SO and see if I ever see one. I know I would have been happy with either. The SO looks awesome on line. Needless to say I am super excited.

Awesome car and color. The rear 3/4 shot is where any 2 Series looks best, IMO
