winter is coming...
Despite initially planning on garaging it, I am going to keep the M2 in action though the winter here in Chicagoland.
I have a set of Blizzaks from my old RS4 that are still in great shape. Any issues with throwing a square set of 265 35 19 on the stock 437M wheels? Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I understand, the stock wheels are 19x9 ET29 front and 19x10 ET40 rear. Stock suspension, no spacers. Considered going with a set of new wheels for the winter setup but honestly nothing out there I'm crazy about. Open to recommendations on anything with an aggressive concave design. Thanks!

I'm not familiar with Apex but those exact wheels you referenced caught my eye on a Google image search the AW M2 by EAS. They appear to be a bit more aggressive concave but a BBS design rip-off/replica no?

We normally deal with track/race setups, but every winter we offer one bundle for the winter. These bundles are intended for cars like the M2 that require wheels with proper brake clearance to clear the large factory calipers. The new Group Buy can be found here: https://www.gangup.com/apex/winter-w...s-q3-2018.html The deal closes at the end of this month. Since you’re not as familiar with us, I looked up some threads for you Here are a few threads with customers that participated in the bundle last year: https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1423763 https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...63&postcount=6 https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1&postcount=83 https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...5&postcount=68 -Matt

The massive brakes of the new M2C do require a 19" wheel, however the EC-7 wheels offered in the 19x9.5" ET22 fitment is too aggressive for that chassis. We do have our new SM-10 19x9" ET30 wheels in production which would be a perfect fit for the M2C. Those will in stock this December and we have a group buy on those as well.

The 19x9.5" ET22 is in reference to APEX wheels. The M2C's brakes are quite large, so if your OEM winter wheel and tire set was designed for the standard 18" brakes on the M3/M4, I would double check brake clearances. Our 18" EC-7's have some of the best brake clearances in the industry, but we still required a 19" wheel for the new M2C brakes.

I just realized I missed finding out about the Apex SM-10 group buy by 1 day, which is going to make outfitting my M2C that much more expensive. The struggle is real!

Think I'm going to stick with the 437M wheels and throw winters on - may consider some new wheels next spring.
Anyway - aside from lack of peak winter performance and going against the usual recommendations of 'go narrow and go square' - any foreseeable issues with putting 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 Blizzaks on the M2?

Nothing wrong with going to OEM size for winter tires but you are not going to find much in those sizes. And it's going to be pricey.

Yeah not cheap and evidently slightly different speed rating front to back.
