Wish I spoke German. Looks like a win for AWD and the Mercedes.

When it comes to the M2CS, I'm mostly jealous of that red stitching and the seats.

Blue stitching = "I wear my sunglasses in the club"
Orange stitching = "I talk too loud in the library"
Red stitching = "I've worked at this library for 30 damn years, i'll talk as loud as I please"

Well, AWD won practicality and M2 CS fastest on track, none of which was surprising. What shocked me though was M2 CS the slowest to 250km/h.

So they did the M2CS acceleration tests with a 'manuell' (?? maybe a typo as the pics show a DCT), but used a DCT (DKG) for the track times?

I also think typo because it was comfortably ahead at 200 and all of a sudden fell off a cliff. Something's not right there. My read is that the Merc won because of price and everyday practicality.

Well some cars do fell off a cliff, but I don't think it would happen to M2 CS, hopefully like you said it's just a typo. Too bad I can't read German, maybe they talked about it in the article.

Obviously we cant read this as its in German...

But... fundamentally the only place the amg should beat the bmw is in practicality and maybe drag racing.

The Germans refer to the DCT as a form of manual transmission. The 250 kph numbers definitely don't make sense. It does seem that they discuss it...something about the Porsche's weight I think...though I'm not sure. Given the deltas at the other speeds, I am guessing the BMW went into 7th gear prematurely.

As for the Merc, it did really well in Evo magazine's COTY contest earlier this year. I am not surprised they liked it here.

Thanks! Read the translated version, I will now forever refer to a twin turbo setup as "double forced ventilation"

Price. It is all translated in the main CS thread.
Looks like it will just dip into the 11s for the quarter as the Germans go slightly over.

The 2 series is aerodynamically challenged.

The A45S is really overrated. The M2 makes much more fun than this little AMG

The M2CS and AMG were also on R compound rubber vs the standard summer rubber on the GTS (in addition to manual vs the PDK which is available for 2021). Even out the rubber and or transmission and my bet would be the GTS is the fastest on track by 1-2 seconds. The CS really falls flat at high speeds though if those are correct, which my guess is just bad aero at those speeds. Id also guess this would plague the AMG as well...
