i still think they'll move the c8 prices in the 65k+ ish range and give the camaro some room. The camaro zl1 is already 62k. |

Could GM resurrect the C7? Anything's possible, I suppose. Likely? Probably not. https://www.corvetteblogger.com/2019...t-c7-corvette/ |

Off topic, but any more pics of your E36? Looks amazing in your signature. Got a Techno Violet myself

Just reading all the above comments on why GM might not be wise in doing this and everyone of us is now probably considering buying a C8 provided the reviews are as good as we expect.
Does the M2 CS even make sense at this point? 60k or even 70k with options and 10k beater like older Golf , if you need back seat would make more sense than the M2 CS . Last edited by FreeDarko; 07-19-2019 at 01:57 PM.. |

It certainly is a very intriguing package at that base price. I mean I thought I needed 2 rear seats and a 6MT but damn that price-to-performance (and price-to-buttons) ratio is pretty insane.
Even average interior build quality without the rear seats and stick isn't much of a deterrent when you're getting NA, mid-engine V8 at that price. |

the c8 will probably have a base price of 59999 with nothing on it. with the packages you want it'll probably be 70k. similar to how the f80 m3 was suppose start at $67k but all the ones you see on the dealer lot at like 80k.

I'm a BMW and M2 guy to the fullest, but damn did Chevy just fuck every manufacturer and the price to performance ratio.

The c8 looks like a bargain, if it's the type of car you want. Also, NA engine. How much longer will you be able to get that in sports car?

Wait two yours and you'll be getting $10k off no problem. These will be relatively high volume cars. None of the faux exclusiveness of the M2.

If you have a family or drive with more than one person or want something a little more livable.... yes.
However, if you're in the market for a Porsche Cayman/911, Toyota Supra, Z4, McLaren, Ferrari, NSX, Audi R8, Lambo, etc.... then I think smart money might be on the Corvette. I've always dreamed of owning an exotic, but I just cant justify sinking $150-250k or more on a depreciating asset that requires a ton of maintenance and is hard to live with. Corvette just changed the formula. Obviously, for those who buy these cars just to show off their wealth, nothing changes, but I don't believe everyone is so braggadocious and pretentious.
