Yes, I have done that, although on my phone its called "Cast", its a Nexus 6P.

I added the phone as a "Screen Mirroring" device in the iDrive settings, and I have also added the cars wifi connection to the "Screen Cast" settings on the phone.

The phone shows as connected to the car, but still nothing appears on the cars screen apart from the "Add a Device" prompt within iDrive pops up.

Also, the menu system of the Screen Mirroring section on the iDrive seem to be playing up too, I will post a picture shortly.
